- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Able to acquire and maintain a valid Iowa Security License, including state accredited training requirements.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Able to meet physical essential functions of the job, which can include lifting 50+ lbs, completing foot patrols, walking up and down stairs, and working in inclement weather.
- Provide customer service to all parties encountered while on duty, including assisting with directions and general business information.
- Enforce site rules by warning or reporting individuals violating regulations, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying prohibited items.
- Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols to identify safety and security risks.
- Respond to alarms, emergency calls, and incidents involving unauthorized individuals, injuries, or fires.
- Notify appropriate emergency services, including police, fire department, or emergency medical services, when necessary.
- Accurately complete and submit reports, records, and incident documentation in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the security manager.
- Bilingual ability is considered a plus.
