- Knowledge of reimbursement for services provided.
- Ability to work primarily day hours, scheduled weekends, and occasional evenings.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program, including a program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation.
- Current unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the state where nursing practice occurs or multistate licensure in a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications.
- Valid driver's license.
- Evaluate outcomes by integrating established clinical, financial, and utilization data.
- Define the unit of care as the family and patient.
- Interview potential residents and assess residents in compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Use assessment information for hospice admission and continued stay.
- Establish a service plan for each resident and evaluate it on an ongoing basis.
- Participate in creating the plan of care and ensure that the interdisciplinary group implements it.
- Provide care to assigned patients according to location standards, procedures, and individualized patient plans of care.
- Provide leadership to staff.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience.

Today at 5:25 PM News Reporting FARGO - A new treatment option is coming to Sanford Health Specialty Clinic in Fargo for patients dealing with difficult-to-heal wounds. The healthcare provider celebrated the launch of its Hyperbaric Medicine Service Line with a ribbon cutting Monday morning, Sept. 21. New Fargo Catholic Diocese home is open and ready to welcome retired priests The new clinic includes two hyperbaric chambers, funded with the help from a University of North Dakota grant. The therapy allows patients to breathe pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber, helping the body heal when other treatment options may not be working. Dr. Mark Eginton, a Vascular specialist at Sanford, said the service can make a major difference for patients who are often running out of options. "I've seen the lives changed, literally patients hugging me because they've had symptoms relieved that... were really ruining their life, and they're better. And that's magic," Eginton said. "That's why I do what I do." Sanford officials expects to begin treating patients in the new chambers within the next couple of weeks. Marshfield Medical Center receives ACC's NCDR Chest Pain - MI Registry Platinum Performance Achievement Award. By Riley Hebert Sep 3, 2026 | 9:00 AM Seven Sanford Health hospitals across four states have earned recognition from the American College of Cardiology. Sanford USD Medical Center in South Dakota, Sanford Medical Center Fargo and Sanford Bismarck Medical Center in North Dakota, Sanford Bemidji Medical Center in Minnesota, and Marshfield Medical Center and Marshfield Medical Center -Weston in Wisconsin have all received the ACC's NCDR Chest Pain - MI Registry Platinum Performance Achievement Award for 2026. Those six locations are among only 350 hospitals nationwide to receive the honor. Marshfield Medical Center - Eau Claire was also recognized with the ACC's NCDR Chest Pain - MI Registry Silver Performance Achievement Award. These awards recognize Sanford Health's commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of care for heart attack patients and signifies that all seven locations reached an aggressive goal of treating these patients to standard levels of care as outlined by the American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association clinical guidelines and recommendations. To receive the Chest Pain ̶ MI Registry Performance Achievement Awards, all seven hospitals have demonstrated sustained achievement in the Chest Pain ̶ MI Registry for two consecutive years (2024 and 2025) and performed at the highest level for specific performance measures. Full participation in the registry engages hospitals in a robust quality improvement process using data to drive improvements in adherence to guideline recommendations and overall quality of care provided to heart attack patients. "We are proud to present Sanford Health with these Performance Achievement Awards in recognition of its national leadership and steadfast commitment to meeting comprehensive performance measures in patient care," Leslie L. Davis, PhD, ANP-BC, FACC, chair of the NCDR Chest Pain - MI Registry Steering Subcommittee. "Sanford's achievement reflects its ongoing focus on providing high-quality, guideline-driven care for patients who experience a heart attack and helping ensure they receive exceptional cardiovascular care." The Centers for Disease Control estimates that over 800,000 Americans suffer a heart attack each year. A heart attack occurs when a blood clot in a coronary artery partially or completely blocks blood flow to the heart muscle. Treatment guidelines include administering aspirin upon arrival and discharge, timely restoration of blood flow to the blocked artery, smoking cessation counseling and cardiac rehabilitation, among others. "We are grateful to the American College of Cardiology for once again recognizing our commitment to cardiovascular patients," said Dr. Jeremy Cauwels, Sanford Health chief medical officer. "These honors reflect our focus on delivering high-quality care and the diligence our teams demonstrate across our entire system every day. The quality and consistency of our Sanford Health team is second to none, which is a testament to our excellent providers and leadership." Chest Pain ̶ MI Registry empowers health care provider teams to consistently treat heart attack patients according to the most current, science-based guidelines and establishes a national standard for understanding and improving the quality, safety and outcomes of care provided for patients with coronary artery disease, specifically high-risk heart attack patients.
Rapid City, Sanford Health unveil sports complex partnership. Naming rights agreement is latest among iconic sports facilities with the Sanford Health brand. (Photo by Paul Heinert, Sanford Health) Rapid City Mayor Jason Salamun and Rapid City Sports Commission Executive Director Domico Rodriguez today announced a corporate partnership agreement with Sanford Health for naming recognition for the new community sports complex. Salamun and Rodriquez were joined by Sanford Health officials the morning of Aug. 6 for the partnership agreement announcement. The brief ceremony was held on a strip of frontage land along East Mall Drive in Rapid City, South Dakota, overlooking a 22-acre parcel of land that was recently donated by Pete Lien & Sons and approved by the Rapid City Common Council to serve as the future location for the multipurpose sports complex. "I am pleased to announce that Sanford Health will serve as our premier partner, including holding the naming recognition for Rapid City's new sports complex," said Salamun. "This partnership brings valuable experience and a shared commitment to creating a first-class facility that will serve our youth, residents, and visitors for generations to come." The $10 million, 20-year partnership with Sanford Health begins in 2027. The investment will support the new sports complex facility and operations, and provides Sanford Health with naming recognition for the sports complex and a dedicated space within the complex for use by Sanford for sports medicine and sports performance activities, among other recognition rights and privileges. On most days, these 22 acres of prairie grassland in northern Rapid City sit quiet except for brisk breezes of South Dakota winds and the plodding of nearby cattle herds. In a few years, a large complex will tower over the area, home to numerous competitive and recreational events. Officials are hoping to break ground this fall and get dirt moving for the facility that is set to open by 2029. Latest in Sanford Sports athletic development. The naming rights agreement is the latest in a number of iconic sports, community and regional facilities with the Sanford Health brand. Sanford Health has been involved in athletic development for more than 25 years. These efforts include operating the 500-acre Sanford Sports Complex in Sioux Falls and partnering on the 400,000-square-foot Fargo Parks Sports Center at the Sanford Sports Complex in Fargo, North Dakota. "Sanford Health is proud to partner with the City of Rapid City on this historic investment in health, sports and community," said Kyle Wiese, Sanford Black Hills president and CEO. "When Sanford Health expanded into the Black Hills, we made a commitment to meaningfully invest in the people and communities we serve. This partnership is another example of keeping that promise. Thank you to the City of Rapid City and all those who helped bring this vision to life." Sanford Sports operates sports performance, sports academy and sports events in South Dakota, North Dakota and Minnesota. Annually, Sanford Sports has more than one million athlete contacts, runs more than 250 club teams and hosts nearly 100 tournaments and spectator events ranging from youth and high school to major college and professional. "Sanford's investment into the complex will help benefit Rapid City and our athletes for the next generation," said Rodriguez. "They have been extremely successful in the Sioux Falls and Fargo markets, and we are excited to partner with them on this project." Next steps for sports complex. In July, the Rapid City Council approved an agreement between Pete Lien & Sons and the City of Rapid City for the donation of 22.65 acres of land located between East Mall Drive, Seger Drive, North Lacrosse Street and Tish Boulevard. At the July 20 meeting, the Council also approved a contract with TSP, Inc. to serve as architect for the project and an agreement with Sports Facilities Management LLC to serve as manager for the facility once it is constructed. Next, the City's Legal and Finance Committee will consider the naming recognition agreement as well as an agreement with Scull Construction Service, Inc. to serve as construction manager for the project.

John Allen has been named vice president of operations for Sanford Health Network. In his new role, Allen will focus on enhancing Sanford Health Watertown as a regional hub while collaborating with network sites in Canby, Clear Lake, Webster, and surrounding communities. Allen brings over 30 years of leadership experience and will work closely with fellow vice president of operations Dale Gillogly. Additionally, Laurie Fieber, RN, MSN, has been appointed administrator and chief executive officer for Sanford Health Watertown.
