Requirements
  • Bachelor’s + 3 Years relevant experience
  • Experience with device physics, transistor behavior, and leakage/dynamic power
  • Experience debugging hardware and software issues in an embedded system
  • Experience with Power / Performance Estimation and Optimization
  • Experience with one or more of the following scripting languages: python or TCL/expect
Responsibilities
  • Identify and drive improvements in silicon-based characterization methodology.
  • Design, execute and communicate plans to perform characterization work.
  • Configure system HW and SW for silicon characterization.
  • Lead failure triage and debug of underlying issues.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve automation tools.

  • Experience with lab equipment
  • Data analysis and visualization
  • Experience reading schematics
  • Experience with performance monitor features a strong plus
  • Experience with power measurements a strong plus
  • Experience with system and SoC architectures a strong plus
  • Ability to work well on a team, take responsibility, and motivate self and others
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with power-management techniques such as dynamic clock & power gating and dynamic voltage frequency scaling
