As the Non- Profit Director of Finance with ETSS, you will oversee all budget and finance activities, which consists of, accounting, including AR, AP, Payroll, and general accounting. You will be responsible for the organization’s budget process, along with the supervision and management of accounting and fiscal management staff. You are responsible for accurately communicating the organization’s financial position to the President & CEO, the Finance Committee, and the Board. In coordination with the Finance Committee, it is the contact point with all outside audits and for developing a remediation plan in the event of an audit finding. This position reports directly to the President & CEO.
Responsibilities:
- Is responsible for the oversight of all financial activity and planning.
- Manages and oversees fiscal and accounting functions, including reconciliation of outside checking accounts.
- Supervises and manages all accounting and fiscal management staff.
- Assures that all financial processes are adequately documented. This position budgets and manages the G&A pool, the space pool, the fringe benefit pool, and the corporate account.
- Reviews or supervises the review of grant award documents and contractual instruments.
- Develops, Implements, and monitors fiscal policies and procedures to ensure efficient and accurate fiscal operation and compliance with City, County, State and Federal requirements.
- Collaborates closely with the Director of HR
- Negotiates lines of credit with banks and other financial institutions and assures that the organization has adequate working capital for the smooth flow of all transactions and payroll.
- Effectively communicate and present critical financial matters to the board of directors.
Qualifications:
- Passion for the mission and vision of ETSS.
- Non-profit experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; required.
- Staff supervision and management experience is required.
- Project management or government contractor environment experience; preferred.
- Thorough understanding of GAAP, a clear knowledge of Federal Guidance, as laid out in 2-CFR Subtitle A Chapter II, multiple OMB circulars.
- Working knowledge of an organization’s applicable financial practices and procedures.
- Proficient with accounting software and standard office and accounting equipment.
