About the job

Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, economics, finance, operations research, or a related field, plus a record of software shipped and supported end to end, including at least one product, platform, internal tool, or artificial intelligence or machine learning system that reached real users and moved beyond an initial prototype.
  • At least 5 years of relevant software-building experience.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on depth across full-stack delivery, including modern front-end work, backend services or application programming interfaces, databases or data flows, deployment paths, and practical debugging across several stack layers.
  • Experience with one or more of the following tools: Python, TypeScript, React, Next.js, Angular, FastAPI, Postgres, Docker, cloud services such as AWS or Azure, Electron or Tauri for packaged desktop delivery, OpenAPI contracts, continuous integration and continuous delivery systems, end-to-end browser testing, observability tooling, model-serving infrastructure, or evaluation frameworks.
Responsibilities
  • Spearhead the full-stack productization path for QuantAI assets, turning quantitative and agentic prototypes into applications, interfaces, workflow tools, services, and packaged products suitable for internal senior leaders, expert users, and client stakeholders.
  • Build frontend experiences that make advanced algorithms usable in real workflows, including dashboards, expert-facing application flows, evaluation views, governance interfaces, and decision-support surfaces for trading, energy, utilities, industrial, and adjacent financial use cases.
  • Make pragmatic architecture choices across frontend, backend, application programming interfaces, data flows, model-serving surfaces, agentic orchestration, and evaluation infrastructure.
  • Decide whether solutions should be cloud-hosted, client-hosted, locally packaged, desktop-first, or hybrid, and navigate trade-offs involving security, data access, user workflow, latency, cost, and enterprise approval paths.
  • Research and evaluate internal Accenture capabilities, client technology constraints, commercial platforms, and open-source tooling, then choose a simple implementation path that can move quickly without creating fragile or non-compliant systems.
  • Build, review, and unblock implementation across Python, TypeScript or JavaScript, modern web frameworks such as React, Next.js, or Angular, application programming interfaces, data services, and deployment workflows.
  • Establish product engineering practices for authentication, role-based access control, observability, security, release quality, continuous integration and continuous delivery, cost controls, and regression testing.
  • Design agentic systems that help build and run products by coordinating multiple agents, matching steps to appropriate models, checking outputs before they reach users, supporting reliably resumable long-running work, preserving decision context in the repository, and making cost and governance choices while keeping human judgment, code review, security, testing, and architecture decisions in the loop.
  • Build an evaluation layer that measures performance by defining success before development, using objective and repeatable checks where possible, and surfacing drift early through reference outputs, regression cases, accuracy, latency and cost benchmarks, and checks for unsupported language-model output.
  • Turn successful build patterns into shared components, internal tooling, templates, and generators so related products become faster and easier to deliver.
  • Work closely with the Director of QuantAI Research, quants, full-stack engineers, strategists, and client-facing teams to preserve model logic, evaluation intent, governance requirements, and user workflow as algorithms become products.
  • Help grow the full-stack team by defining job-related hiring criteria, contributing to structured technical assessments, and coaching full-stack engineers while setting clear, consistent technical expectations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Strong product and architecture judgment in ambiguous environments, including scoping unclear needs into releases, choosing between hosted, desktop, hybrid, internal, external, commercial, and open-source options, explaining trade-offs, and making interface decisions for expert users in complex settings.
  • Evidence of operating as a hands-on builder-manager by reviewing technical work, unblocking implementation, coaching or managing engineers, contributing to structured job-related hiring decisions, communicating with senior stakeholders, maintaining clear expectations, and staying close to the work.
  • Experience designing artificial intelligence or agentic systems, including several of large language model application patterns, multi-agent orchestration, retrieval, tool use, memory, guardrails, human-in-the-loop gating, and evaluation harnesses. Ability to explain system limits and how to test important assumptions.
  • Experience in energy, power, utilities, commodities, trading, market operations, industrial systems, financial workflows, or other high-stakes decision-support environments.
  • Experience in startup, zero-to-one product, platform engineering, developer tooling, enterprise software, Windows-heavy deployment, or consulting delivery environments where priorities shift and judgment matters more than a complete brief.
  • Examples of building, such as open-source contributions, published tooling, technical writing, competition or benchmark results, or work samples that can be discussed without sharing confidential information. Public work is welcome but not required.

TÜV SÜD and Accenture unveil physical AI safety suite to bring factories online up to 30% sooner

TÜV SÜD and Accenture are working with NVIDIA technologies to speed up safety certification of robots in factories and warehouses. They unveiled a joint "Physical AI Safety Suite" at NVIDIA GTC Berlin. The suite uses digital twins, AI agents, and simulations to partly replace manual assessments. TÜV SÜD estimates the digital process could bring production online up to 30% sooner. Certification against standards such as ISO 3691-4 is mandatory in many industrial countries before automated facilities can start. At a medium-sized plant, agreeing on safety concepts can take several weeks. The suite checks layouts, robot fleets, and individual robots before deployment. TÜV SÜD provides independent assessment and keeps responsibility for certification.

Accenture caps staff AI spending at $29 a month after $1,000 bills

Accenture has capped employee AI spending at $29 (£21.75) a month after some staff ran up bills of $1,000, according to a report by 404 Media. The consulting firm wants to curb runaway costs as employees use AI for more everyday tasks. Companies are typically billed by usage, like a utility. Last week, some staff were told their access to Anthropic's Claude had been pulled entirely. Others are also reining in costs. Uber capped engineers' Claude spending at $1,500 a month after using up its AI budget in four months, while Microsoft has reportedly cut its Claude spending by about a third. The curbs come as Anthropic prepares for a public listing, targeting a valuation as high as $2tn. Investors are reportedly considering about $1.5tn.
