About the Job

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an appropriate STEM field is required.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate product software problems, determine causal mechanisms, recommend action, resolve problems, and document results.
  • Support improvements to product software development processes and tools, including coding, compiling, and testing tools.
  • Collaborate with product and software development teams to deliver verified software features, components, and builds.
  • Use systems knowledge to make decisions about software requirements, architecture, design, and testing that affect quality and performance across software builds and product platforms, including cross-business-unit integration and coordination.
  • Resolve moderately complex component, product, system, subsystem, or service problems, with technical complexity and ambiguity increasing with experience.
  • Interact and collaborate with cross-functional teams and execute established work processes while developing technology and product knowledge and contributing to systems and process improvements.
  • Coordinate and direct work among technicians and/or temporary student employees as needed.
  • Participate in full-cycle development of generator-set projects, including electrical concept definition, schematic design, control logic development, simulation modeling, bench testing, system integration, and validation.
  • Develop and validate hybrid generator sets and diesel-battery energy storage system hybrid power solutions, including system architecture, energy-management strategy simulation, power-electronics matching, joint commissioning, design verification plan validation, and issue closure.
