Requirements
  • Proven leadership experience in sales, commercial management, or related fields, with demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and inspire high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth, achieving sales targets, and maximizing profitability across multiple business segments.
  • Hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, pricing strategies, yield management, and performance analysis.
  • Relationship management, negotiation, and communication skills sufficient to build long-term partnerships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in customer relationship management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales analytics tools, with a focus on data integrity and pipeline management.
  • Ability to apply problem-solving, strategic planning, and decision-making skills while managing multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Presentation and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to communicate complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in target setting, key performance indicator management, and performance review processes.
  • Ability to analyze market trends, the competitive landscape, and customer behavior to inform strategic decisions.
Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the sales team through coaching, recruitment, succession planning, and performance management.
  • Drive annual sales revenue targets across assigned segments while ensuring profitability and sustainable commercial outcomes.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales initiatives, maximize assigned accounts, and identify new revenue opportunities.
  • Build and maintain client relationships through proactive account management, contract negotiations, and client engagement while securing new business.
  • Collaborate with marketing, operations, and finance to optimize demand, pricing strategies, forecasting, and customer experience delivery.
  • Partner with senior leadership on budgeting, forecasting, pricing initiatives, and new revenue strategies.
  • Monitor departmental performance through evaluation of sales activity, pipeline health, conversion metrics, and commercial reporting.
  • Oversee client feedback and service recovery initiatives while monitoring market conditions and competitor activity to improve customer experience.
  • Deputize for senior leadership by representing the sales department and presenting business performance, forecasts, and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure effective use of sales systems and customer relationship management tools while maintaining data integrity, pipeline accuracy, and reporting compliance.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience onboarding and developing sales talent through structured training and mentorship programs.
  • Familiarity with market dynamics and business practices in the Mysuru region or broader Indian market.
  • Background in consultative selling and solution-based sales approaches.
  • Experience with sales forecasting tools and business intelligence platforms.
