About the company

Aptos Foundation manages and grows the Aptos network by supporting its decentralized system and the surrounding developer ecosystem. It funds projects through grants to improve tooling, infrastructure, and education, helping more developers build on Aptos. The Aptos network itself is a Layer 1 blockchain using Proof-of-Stake and a parallel execution engine called Block-STM to process many transactions at once. It runs Move, a Rust-based language for secure asset management, and uses the native APT token for transaction fees, staking, and governance. The foundation’s goal is to increase network adoption and ecosystem activity, while Aptos Labs continues to develop the core technology and raise funding to support the platform.

Aptos ends four-year token unlocks, cutting monthly releases 60% to 4.54M APT

Aptos Foundation, which supports the Layer 1 blockchain originally incubated at Meta, has completed its four-year token unlock schedule for core contributors and early investors. The schedule followed the timeline published at the October 2022 mainnet launch. Those two groups held 324.78 million APT at genesis, roughly 32.5% of the 1 billion APT minted. With both fully vested, monthly scheduled releases fall from about 11.31 million APT to 4.54 million APT, a drop of about 60%. Only the Community and Foundation pools remain on the schedule, with about 331.69 million APT still locked. Each releases 1/120 of its remaining balance monthly through 2032. The change is part of a wider tokenomics overhaul. Total issuance is capped at 2.1 billion APT, staking rewards fell from 5.19% to 2.6%, and gas fees rose tenfold, with all fees burned.

Aptos launches Confidential APT to hide transaction amounts while keeping addresses visible

Aptos has activated Confidential APT on its mainnet, allowing users to keep APT balances and transaction amounts private whilst wallet addresses remain visible onchain. The Aptos Foundation announced the launch on 18 September, months after outlining the feature in March. The system uses zero-knowledge proofs to let validators verify transactions without seeing transfer amounts or balances. Addresses stay visible on the blockchain, identifying senders and recipients, but amounts are encrypted. The feature is opt-in. APT is currently the only asset permitted for confidential transfers on mainnet and testnet. Aptos said potential use cases include payroll without revealing salaries and treasury transactions where companies want to keep their moves private. Users can access Confidential APT through Petra Wallet and Confidential Assets Web from Aptos Labs.

Aptos integration with Archax enables movement of 100+ regulated assets onto blockchain.

Aptos integration with Archax enables movement of 100+ regulated assets onto blockchain. The FCA-regulated digital securities exchange brings its tokenization engine to Aptos, starting with a reinsurance income fund 2 hours ago Sponsored: Vera - AI-powered prediction market intelligence, built for serious analysts Explore Vera Archax, the first FCA-regulated digital securities exchange, broker, and custodian, has integrated with the Aptos blockchain to bring more than 100 regulated tokenized securities and real-world assets onchain. The first product out of the gate is the MembersCap Tokenized Global Reinsurance Income Fund, known as MCM Fund I, with the Aptos Foundation itself serving as general partner. After that, Archax plans to tokenize additional financial instruments including funds, equities, and debt securities on the Aptos network. Why this matters for Aptos. Before this integration, the network already hosted tokenized products from heavy hitters like BlackRock and Franklin Templeton, with nearly $1 billion in RWA-backed assets under management across the chain's institutional partners. Adding Archax to that roster is less about raw dollar figures and more about infrastructure. Archax provides the regulated plumbing that institutional investors require before they'll touch anything onchain: brokerage services, custody, and a compliant exchange. Archax's regulatory playbook. Archax's FCA license has always been its calling card. In a market where most tokenization platforms operate in regulatory gray zones, Archax can point to explicit authorization from one of the world's most respected financial regulators. Subsequent developments have seen Archax pursue US market access through a broker-dealer license obtained via tZERO infrastructure. That expansion effectively makes Archax a transatlantic bridge for tokenized securities, capable of serving both European and American institutional clients. Aptos also partnered with Vertalo and tZERO to enhance its regulatory capabilities, creating a layered compliance architecture that gives issuers multiple options for meeting their jurisdictional requirements. The RWA race is getting crowded. BlackRock's BUIDL fund, which tokenizes US Treasury exposure, has become something of a proof of concept for the entire sector. Franklin Templeton has been running a tokenized money market fund for years. The pipeline of 100-plus assets also suggests this isn't a one-off marketing partnership. Tokenizing a single fund is a press release. Committing to triple-digit asset counts across multiple instrument types, including funds, equities, and debt, is a business strategy. BDACS taps LayerZero to expand Korean won stablecoin.

BDACS taps LayerZero to expand Korean won stablecoin. BDACS is adopting LayerZero's OFT standard for KRW1 to support transfers across blockchain networks while maintaining the stablecoin's 1:1 backing with Korean won held at Woori Bank. Published 4 hours ago · Updated 4 hours ago South Korean digital asset custodian BDACS has selected LayerZero's Omnichain Fungible Token (OFT) standard for its KRW1 stablecoin to support transfers across blockchain networks. As per the announcement, after a rigorous review of options to bring KRW1 natively multichain, BDACS selected LayerZero's OFT standard as its interoperability solution. KRW1 currently operates on Ethereum, Avalanche, and Circle's Arc. BDACS said managing separate deployments has created friction around cross-chain transfers and affected the stablecoin's distribution and utility. Under the new structure, KRW1 will use a single cross-chain supply rather than separate versions of the stablecoin on individual networks. AI Summary BDACS chose LayerZero's OFT standard to make its KRW1 stablecoin interoperable across blockchains. How KRW1 will move across chains. Under LayerZero's OFT standard, KRW1 will be debited on the blockchain where a transfer begins and credited on the destination network. LayerZero's Stargate application will facilitate the transfers, allowing users to move KRW1 between supported networks without relying on separate pools of the stablecoin on each chain. The structure is intended to reduce liquidity fragmentation as BDACS adds more blockchain networks. It also allows the issuer to manage a common KRW1 supply across connected networks. LayerZero said the OFT standard is used by stablecoins including Tether's USDT0, PayPal USD and Paxos-issued USDG. According to the company, OFT has facilitated 87% of cross-chain transfer volume and processed $280 billion in lifetime transfers across more than 170 blockchains. KRW1 keeps its won backing. The LayerZero integration does not change KRW1's reserve structure. BDACS said each KRW1 will continue to be backed 1:1 by Korean won held at Woori Bank, with independent attestations of the reserves. BDACS first introduced KRW1 in September 2025 after completing a proof of concept with Woori Bank. The stablecoin initially launched on Avalanche before the company expanded its availability to additional networks. The company later announced plans to issue KRW1 on Circle's Arc blockchain, while a Polygon deployment followed in December 2025. BDACS positioned the Polygon version for potential payments, remittances and institutional transactions. Earlier in May, BDACS partnered with Aptos Foundation to expand KRW1 into on-chain payments and commerce. The integration marked KRW1's first deployment on a non-EVM blockchain. The LayerZero integration is focused on connecting KRW1's existing and future deployments rather than introducing a new stablecoin. Korea prepares for won stablecoins. The expansion comes as South Korea moves toward a regulatory framework for won-denominated stablecoins. South Korea's Won Internationalization Roadmap, published in July 2026, calls for a legal framework for won-denominated stablecoins through changes to the Foreign Exchange Transactions Act. The roadmap also includes plans for a 24-hour offshore won settlement network, with pilot operations extending into 2027. The Bank of Korea has favored a bank-led model for stablecoin issuance during the initial stage, while lawmakers continue discussions on the Digital Asset Basic Act and related stablecoin rules. South Korean banks and financial companies are also testing stablecoin-based payment systems. In June, Toss Bank partnered with the Solana Foundation to test stablecoin-powered cross-border remittances and settlements through a proof of concept. Telecommunications company KT has also outlined plans for a Token Factory and won stablecoin platform, involving infrastructure from K Bank and BC Card. These initiatives are developing alongside the country's broader push to establish a framework for digital versions of the won. BDACS targets wider blockchain use. The LayerZero integration is part of BDACS's efforts to expand KRW1 across multiple blockchain networks. BDACS CEO Harry Ryoo said the value of a Korean won stablecoin depends on its ability to scale globally. He said the OFT integration provides KRW1 with a technical foundation for broader use across multiple blockchains. LayerZero has already been involved in the expansion of other digital money products. Its OFT infrastructure supports Tether's USDT0 and has also been used in the expansion of PayPal's PYUSD across blockchain networks. LayerZero has also worked on interoperability for tokenized bank deposits, reflecting the growing demand for regulated digital assets to move across blockchains. BDACS reported more than 80 billion won in assets under custody in the first half of 2026, making it South Korea's largest digital asset custodian by assets under custody, according to the company. KRW1's next phase will depend on its expansion to more LayerZero-connected networks and South Korea's evolving stablecoin rules. BitGo Expands MPC Wallet Support to Aptos DEX DecibelTrade.

BitGo Expands MPC Wallet Support to Aptos DEX DecibelTrade. 2026-09-03 23:26:08 Key takeaways. * BitGo expanded MPC wallet connectivity to DecibelTrade, an Aptos-based decentralized exchange supporting spot and perpetual trading. * BitGo institutional clients maintain address whitelisting and multi-party transaction approval controls while accessing DecibelTrade through WalletConnect. * Aptos leadership publicly endorsed the BitGo integration on September 3, highlighting sub-second settlement finality for institutional flow. BitGo expanded wallet connectivity to DecibelTrade, a decentralized exchange built on the Aptos blockchain that supports spot and perpetual futures trading. The integration allows institutional clients to connect self-custody multi-party computation wallets to DecibelTrade through WalletConnect while retaining existing security controls, including address whitelisting and multi-party transaction approvals. The development addresses institutional requirements for custody infrastructure when accessing decentralized finance applications, as traditional financial organizations typically require clearly defined authorization processes and controls over asset movements before adopting digital-asset infrastructure. BitGo Enables MPC Wallet Connection to DecibelTrade via WalletConnect. DecibelTrade provides decentralized trading infrastructure for both spot markets and perpetual contracts. The integration with BitGo enables institutional users to connect their self-custody wallets directly to the platform through WalletConnect, a connection layer between cryptocurrency wallets and decentralized applications. The integration gives institutional clients a way to use BitGo MPC wallets with DecibelTrade while maintaining address whitelisting and multi-party approval controls, combining decentralized trading access with institutional security procedures. Address whitelisting restricts transfers to approved blockchain addresses, while multi-party approvals require multiple authorized participants to confirm transactions. Such safeguards are relevant for institutions managing digital assets, where internal governance and operational controls can be as important as market access. Aptos blockchain adds institutional wallet infrastructure through BitGo integration. Aptos is a Layer-1 blockchain that uses the Move programming language and a consensus architecture designed to support scalable decentralized applications. Its infrastructure has been used for applications across decentralized finance and other digital asset markets. The addition of BitGo wallet support to DecibelTrade adds an institutional-facing component to the Aptos ecosystem. Rather than requiring institutions to move assets into a centralized custody arrangement, the model allows eligible users to retain self-custody through an MPC-based wallet while interacting with decentralized applications. Avery Ching, associated with Aptos, stated on September 3 via social media: "Very excited to trade with our friends at @BitGo." The official Aptos account noted on the same date: "Every order is matched and settled onchain on Aptos, with sub-second finality. That's what makes an onchain venue workable for institutional flow: settlement fast enough and final enough to sit inside an existing approval workflow." MPC wallets provide multi-party approval and address whitelisting controls. Multi-party computation technology distributes control of a wallet across multiple parties or cryptographic components rather than relying on a single private key. This approach reduces the risks associated with concentrating wallet authority in one location while allowing organizations to establish approval requirements before transactions are executed. BitGo's connectivity with DecibelTrade links institutional-grade wallet controls with an Aptos-based decentralized exchange. The integration reflects efforts to make decentralized exchanges more compatible with institutional requirements, where blockchain ecosystems focus on infrastructure that connects institutional users with decentralized applications. While decentralized exchanges provide direct access to blockchain-based markets, institutions generally require additional safeguards to manage operational and counterparty risks. MPC wallets address part of that requirement by distributing transaction authority and supporting configurable approval policies. Faq. What did BitGo announce regarding DecibelTrade? BitGo expanded wallet connectivity to DecibelTrade, a decentralized exchange built on the Aptos blockchain. The integration allows institutional clients to connect self-custody multi-party computation wallets to DecibelTrade through WalletConnect while retaining security controls including address whitelisting and multi-party transaction approvals. How do MPC wallets work with DecibelTrade? Multi-party computation technology distributes control of a wallet across multiple parties or cryptographic components rather than relying on a single private key.
