Requirements
- Have 3–5+ years of sales experience in either the education or technology markets.
- Have in-depth knowledge of Promethean products, software, and services, with the ability to align them with pedagogical needs.
- Have strong knowledge of educational technology, technology integration, and current education technology trends.
- Be able to deliver high-quality presentations on the Promethean proposition to large groups, including Directors of Education and C-level contacts.
- Be able to work collaboratively as part of a team supporting work across different regions.
- Hold a full, clean UK driving licence.
Responsibilities
- Drive panel sales into a defined territory and support demand-creation activities.
- Present the Promethean value proposition to multi-academy trusts, colleges, and strategic opportunities in the UK.
- Develop company sales in the assigned territory through reseller partners and manage relationships with end users, customers, and partners in the territory.
- Provide customers with professional development and support on Promethean hardware and software products.
- Work with resellers to provide demonstrations and orientation to current and potential end users and resellers, and manage demonstration and seed units across the territory.
- Identify and introduce Promethean to non-Promethean accounts as a key measure of success.
- Manage pipeline opportunities in collaboration with the Channel Sales Team to drive Promethean orders.
- Serve as the primary Promethean point of contact for end-user education customers and build strategic plans for their front-of-class technology.
- Research the education landscape in the territory to identify potential end users showing intent to buy interactive flat-panel display technology.
- Conduct business-development activities to secure presentation appointments with target accounts and build engagement strategies.
- Provide ongoing professional development and support to end users, building long-term relationships and securing hardware, software, and services sales.
- Deliver presentations face-to-face, virtually, or in a blended format to end users at all levels within UKI Education.
- Support partners and customers with training and implementation of Promethean hardware and software solutions through in-person and virtual training or orientation sessions.
- Develop, maintain, and grow sales prospects and opportunities with new and existing end users to increase revenue, margin, and market share.
- Articulate the Promethean value proposition and demonstrate its benefits face-to-face, remotely, or in a blended format; identify the value tools that can protect margin while winning business.
- Organize seed and demonstration panel movement around the territory for short- and long-term opportunities.
- Attend key market events for Promethean or support reseller partners in showcasing the product offering.
- Use, track, and maintain customer accounts and opportunities in Salesforce.
Desired Qualifications
- A degree-level education and/or experience as a specialist teacher or trainer is preferred.
- Experience with a two-tier distribution sales model is advantageous.
- Knowledge and understanding of the UKI education market, including its parameters, drivers, and funding streams, is desired; otherwise, this knowledge is required as part of onboarding.
- Existing contacts within the education sector are desired.
- School engagement, such as serving as a governor or participating in a PTA, or previous work experience in a school, is desirable.
