About the Job

Requirements

  • A professional degree/title in Mechanical Engineering or Technical Drafting is required.
  • At least 10 years of experience developing engineering projects related to mining, at consulting firms and/or mining companies.
  • Sound professional judgment in designing practical and economical solutions.
  • Ability to solve problems requiring the application of research data in this and related disciplines.
  • Competent use of SmartPlant and/or Aveva E3D, including at least the piping module, BIM modeling, and drawing extraction, as well as AutoCAD; this is an essential requirement.
  • Must be medically fit to work at high-altitude field locations.

Responsibilities

  • Design piping systems included in the scope of the assigned project.
  • Manage design using the company's BIM platforms.
  • Work at field locations as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Generate formal drawings, reference diagrams, and other deliverables.
  • Coordinate across disciplines.
  • Critically review engineering documentation and designs from suppliers and contractors.
  • Interact with the company's document management and quality systems.
