Requirements
  • Consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five years.
  • Fourteen years of directly applicable successful experience supported by past performance.
  • A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in engineering, science, or business management.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Proficiency using a computer for email communication.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and related tools and technology.
  • Technical competency in writing, editing, formatting, and analytical writing.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required DOE Office of River Protection-specific training proficiencies.
  • Ability to qualify for varying levels of background investigation, up to a Top Secret or DOE Q clearance.
  • Ability to complete a Financial Disclosure Statement if required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide oversight of the conduct of operations.
  • Provide oversight of training for technical personnel.
  • Develop an understanding of and provide oversight of commissioning plan development.
  • Write assessment reports.
  • Provide oversight of maintenance and work control processes.
  • Coordinate issue assessment and resolution with ORP engineering, regulatory, and other supporting staff.
  • Interface directly with DOE Office of River Protection senior management and local and federal agency executives.
  • Obtain and apply knowledge of DOE policies and procedures.
  • Obtain and apply knowledge of the Hanford Site mission and activities.
  • Obtain and apply knowledge of DOE program and project management practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Support programs and projects through analysis, milestone tracking, monitoring, and assessment creation.
  • Provide technical support services in environmental remediation and related technical and administrative program management activities for planning, directing, and overseeing design, construction, environmental remediation, cleanup, and operation of government facilities.
  • Support DOE Office of River Protection Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant commissioning, operations, and maintenance activities.
  • Classify and summarize information for briefings and reports and coordinate current information with other organizations.
