Requirements
  • An Associate of Science in Medical Lab Technology, or 60 semester hours of accredited college or university coursework including six hours of chemistry and six hours of biology plus completion of a Medical Lab Technician Program, or a 50-week U.S. military medical laboratory training course completed within the past ten years.
  • Medical Lab Technician certification from a nationally recognized certification agency, preferably the American Society for Clinical Pathology, or eligibility for certification. Registry-eligible RSFH hires must obtain certification within 12 months of hire.
  • Three years of technical experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
  • Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to engage with staff and patients in a professional manner.
Responsibilities
  • Perform analytical tests on biological specimens in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner in compliance with documented laboratory procedures.
  • Determine specimen acceptability through visual inspection and recognition of abnormal or unusual results.
  • Recognize factors affecting measurements and results and take appropriate action according to protocols.
  • Perform quality control for all testing and meet established ranges before releasing patient results.
  • Maintain a safe and efficient work environment by checking equipment, cleaning the work area, monitoring temperatures according to hospital policies, and troubleshooting laboratory equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Thompson Thrift enters SC market with Charleston project. The community is being as part of a 1,500-acre master-planned community. Thompson Thrift is entering the South Carolina market with the development of The Whitmore at Ingleside, a 327-unit, Class A multifamily community being built within the Ingleside master-planned community in North Charleston, S.C. Construction is slated to begin this month, with move-ins expected by November 2027. The development expands Thompson Thrift's national footprint to 25 states. The company is capitalizing The Whitmore at Ingleside with equity from the Thompson Thrift 2026 Multifamily Development LP. Situated on nearly 19 acres, The Whitmore at Ingleside will have a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments in three- and four-story buildings. Units will feature quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, hardwood-style flooring, smart-home technology, full-size washers and dryers, walk-in closets, detached garages and private patios, balconies or yards. Community amenities will include a swimming pool, a fitness center, a pickleball court, a pocket park, an electric firepit, gathering areas, grilling stations, a pet spa and two dog parks. The community will also have a resident social hub with billiards, a coffee bar, focus suites, a conference room and other spaces for work and leisure activities. A connected location. The Whitmore at Ingleside is located near the recently completed Weber Boulevard interchange and Interstate 26. It's situated within the 1,500-acre Ingleside master-planned development, providing residents with commercial, industrial and recreational uses as well as more than 200 acres of green space. The location provides regional connectivity and access to downtown Charleston, Charleston International Airport, Palmetto Commerce Park, Joint Base Charleston, Mercedes Benz Vans and numerous other major employers. Considered one of the Southeast's fastest-growing markets, Charleston is seeing major employers across aerospace, health care, advanced manufacturing, logistics and life sciences industries investing billions in the area. Companies include Boeing, which is investing more than $1 billion to grow its 787 Dreamliner manufacturing campus in North Charleston. Last month, the company began development of Rivet, a 300-unit luxury community in Chelsea, Ala., in the Birmingham, Ala., metro. First move-ins are scheduled for late 2027. Also last month, Thompson Thrift announced it would develop The Statesman, a 340-unit luxury property in Gallatin, Tenn., in the Nashville, Tenn., metro. The company's Thompson Thrift 2026 Multifamily Development LP provided equity for the project. First move-ins are slated for November 2027. In July, Thompson Thrift began construction on The Foundry at Mosaic, its second multifamily in the Savannah Quarters neighborhood in Pooler, Ga., near Savannah, Ga. Move-ins are also expected in November 2027. The company recently completed The Liliana, a 360-unit luxury apartment community, also in Pooler. Thompson Thrift recently entered Nevada with the development of Argent Flats, a 273-unit community in Reno. The property is slated to begin move-ins in September 2027.

Steel work begins on $1.2B Roper St. Francis heathcare campus in South Carolina. * Posted on July 22, 2026 The Barton Malow | Edifice joint-venture team has begun structural steel work at Roper St. Francis Healthcare's future Roper Hospital campus in North Charleston, South Carolina, marking a pivotal milestone in the construction of the $1.2-billion facility. The start of steel work signals the project's transition from below-grade construction to its vertical rise, bringing the building's form to life on the 27-acre site. The new campus, designed by E4H Environments for Health Architecture (a MOREgroup Brand) and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, will deliver 805,000 square feet of advanced healthcare space for the Lowcountry community. The building will include 328 inpatient beds, a 47-bay emergency department, 44 critical care beds, 18 operating rooms, a comprehensive imaging department and a 12-bay hemodialysis unit. Completion is targeted for 2029. Barton Malow | Edifice is using a target-value delivery method, which allows the team to adapt design components while maintaining budget and schedule integrity. The approach has been instrumental in navigating site-specific challenges, including complex seismic conditions, FAA height restrictions and a high-water table.
