About the team:
The Global Marketplace Walmart Fulfillment Services Billing team develops and maintains high-scale backend systems that manage invoices, incentives, and adjustments with a focus on accuracy, reliability, and operational quality. The team drives scalable, resilient solutions supporting business growth and efficiency. It emphasizes architectural excellence, adoption of modern technologies including AI and automation, and continuous improvement. Collaborating closely with product teams and engineers, the team fosters strong technical leadership and innovation to deliver reliable infrastructure that meets evolving business needs in a distributed engineering environment.
What you'll do:

• Lead platform engineering efforts to deliver scalable, cloud-native infrastructure and reusable tooling aligned with strategic roadmaps.
• Drive full software development lifecycle activities including design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance across multiple teams.
• Architect and implement distributed systems optimized for real-time data processing and AI/ML integration.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, promoting best practices and architectural consistency.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into clear technical requirements and measurable success metrics.
• Ensure high-quality deliverables by applying sound technical judgment and managing project execution.
• Foster continuous improvement through innovation, knowledge sharing, and adoption of emerging technologies.

What you'll bring:

• Extensive experience in platform engineering, delivering scalable, cloud-native architectures and reusable tooling.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing distributed systems optimized for real-time data processing and AI/ML integration.
• Strong proficiency in software development lifecycle management, including CI/CD pipelines, testing, and observability.
• Demonstrated ability to apply model-driven design and leverage AI agents to enhance software solutions.
• Skilled in technical leadership, mentoring, and driving architectural decisions across multiple teams.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills to engage cross-functional stakeholders and align technical strategies.

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00 - $286,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
