Position Summary
FL85 is seeking a highly talented and motivated individual to develop and optimize lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formulations. The candidate will be a key contributor to the development of the FL85 platform by enabling the production of LNPs of varying chemistries with multiple nucleic acid cargos. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in LNP formulation, as well as good communication and collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize LNPs for a wide variety of LNP compositions and cargos
- Identify critical formulation parameters to provide robust and reproducible LNPs
- Support the production and characterization of LNPs to supply preclinical studies
- Collaborate with scientists across the organization to advance company objectives and understanding of LNP function
- Thoroughly document results in electronic lab notebooks and present findings to cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- BS/MS in life sciences or engineering, with 1-3 years of relevant experience
- Experience producing and characterizing nucleic acid LNPs is desired
- Familiarity with common LNP formulation and characterization techniques is desired
- A strong team player with the ability to work both independently and on cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Ability to identify scientific issues and devise solutions
- Passion for scientific consistency and reproducibility
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
