Requirements
  • Active, in-scope U.S. Government-issued Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Candidates must be 59 years of age or younger to be eligible for the required Qatari work visa under Qatar regulations.
  • DoDM 8140 IAT Level 2 Security+ certification or higher.
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional certification or equivalent certification.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Networking, or 4 or more years of switching and routing network experience.
Responsibilities
  • Provide Communications Security support as an alternate COMSEC custodian, including installing, configuring, operating, maintaining, upgrading, loading, rekeying, remotely managing, and securing cryptographic equipment and COMSEC material.
  • Provide Tier 2 technical support by diagnosing, analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving complex network, client, and end-user connectivity issues escalated by Tier 1 support staff.
  • Add and remove client devices, including PCs, thin clients, VoIPs, VoSIPs, VTCs, DVTCs, and peripherals, from networks.
  • Operate and maintain Cisco Unified Communications Manager, implement adds, moves, and changes, and manage DHCP reservations.
  • Update and patch network equipment, firmware, and software to maintain configuration and cybersecurity compliance.
  • Operate and maintain access control systems and manage and configure MAC address authentication.
  • Administer network administrative accounts and access.
  • Operate and maintain network monitoring and analysis tools and detect, analyze, and resolve network infrastructure and systems problems.
  • Assist with tracking and managing COTS licenses, warranties, and service-level agreement renewals for network equipment and software.
  • Install, test, troubleshoot, repair, and replace interior fiber and copper network cabling and wiring, and ensure cabling and patch panels are properly installed and labeled according to TIA/EIA and local standards.
  • Prepare and coordinate circuit service requests; engineer, install, test, accept, or remove circuits per Telecommunications Service Orders; and maintain circuit documentation and historical records.
  • Set up, tear down, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain deployable communications suites such as ECKs.
  • Update and maintain AOC network configuration and connectivity drawings, diagrams, engineering documentation, and installation documentation, and publish them semi-annually.
  • Manage, guide, and train other Network Administrators and support personnel to ensure effective delivery and operation of enterprise network capabilities.
  • Monitor and control network performance, utilization, and capacity to ensure performance, availability, serviceability, and recoverability, and report vulnerabilities or deficiencies to government technical representatives.
  • Evaluate current infrastructure, research technologies and solutions, and provide hardware and software upgrade or replacement recommendations for end-of-life or end-of-support COTS products to government technical representatives.
