Warhead Design & Test Engineer @ Anduril

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Design warheads and complex missile/ordnance systems and transition them from prototype to production.
Analyze lethality and performance using hand-calculations (Gurney equations) and multi-physics simulation tools (CTH, Sierra, Zapotec, etc.).
Manage field testing of munitions products from end-to-end, including project planning, design of experiments, and safety.
Capture test video, compile data from ground and flight tests, and analyze results.
Assemble/disassemble explosive test articles and precision targets.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

BS or higher degree in mechanical, aerospace, or another engineering discipline
5+ work experience as an individual contributing engineer, focused on design and analysis of warheads and ordnance systems
Experience with munitions testing
Test experience including data acquisition, data analysis, and project coordination
Ability to travel as required for testing, up to 25%
Experience preparing formal documentation (i.e. specifications, test procedures, technical reports, etc)
Passion for defending the United States and her allies
Be able to obtain and hold a U.S. Top Secret security clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Active U.S. Secret or Top Secret security clearance
Prior experience in EOD or handling munitions products
Experience designing and scaling production of mechanical components at volume
Experience developing or testing complex electrical or mechatronics systems

US Salary Range

$140,000—$185,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril’s total compensation package.
