Railway Technical Writer
About the job
- A BAC+2 to BAC+5 qualification in maintenance engineering or technical writing is required.
- Confirmed experience writing and updating technical documentation is required.
- Mastery of S1000D editorial standards is required.
- Prior experience in the transportation industry is required; railway-sector experience is preferred.
- Technical English proficiency and familiarity with computer tools such as Word and Excel are required.
- Create technical manuals describing the operation, functioning, and maintenance of systems.
- Create and update integrated logistics support (ILS) documents, including maintenance plans, troubleshooting research, logistics breakdown structures, and stock information.
- Write user and maintenance documentation.
- Create or modify technical illustrations.
- Write documentation modules (DM) using S1000D.
- Create troubleshooting flowcharts.
- Write course materials.
- Prior experience in the railway sector is preferred.
