The Prudential Tax Department has several opportunities available in our International, Insurance, Investments and non-insurance work units which includes state and local tax. We are seeking individuals who exhibit intellectual curiosity and a thirst for learning. The position(s) require a team player that is highly organized, responsive, and extremely flexible and can handle multiple projects while producing accurate and timely results. The primary responsibilities of the position will include financial reporting, forecasting and tax compliance review.
The current EWA for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.
Overtime will be required, especially during peak periods
What you can expect:
- GAAP financial reporting, planning, and analysis of taxes
- Partnering with Business Units to implement and design tax planning strategies and transactions
- Partner with co-sourcing partners on the preparation and review of Federal Tax Compliance
- Recommendations of improvements to financial reporting, forecasting, and compliance processes
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or other related business disciplines required
- CPA and/or master’s degree in tax or accounting a plus
- Corporate Tax experience (2-3 years), financial services sector is preferred with life insurance or internal experience a plus
- STAT financial reporting and analysis of taxes based on SSAP 101 a plus
- Strong GAAP accounting for taxes: ASC-740/FAS 109/FIN48
- Understanding of financial service companies including insurance, investments, and asset management a plus
- Solid PC skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook
- Proficiency in CorpTax Software a plus

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $71,100.00 to $105,900.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
