About the job
- A high school diploma or GED may be required under state regulations.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have at least one year of experience in senior housing and knowledge of DHEC regulations.
- Must be able to perform varied duties in service to residents and work in a team environment.
- Must have dedication to serving seniors and customer service skills.
- Must be able to make choices, make decisions, and act in residents’ best interests.
- Must have written and verbal communication skills and an appropriate level of understanding.
- Must have organizational and time-management skills.
- Must demonstrate good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, positioning, transfers, mobility, and incontinence care.
- Prepare residents for meals, snacks, and activities.
- Assist residents in the dining room, including serving meals and clearing tables.
- Respond to the resident emergency call system.
- Observe, document, and report changes in residents’ conditions to the Resident Care Coordinator or their designee.
- Communicate with residents and family members in a polite, professional manner.
- Maintain resident-care documentation as required by state regulations and Navion Senior Solutions policies and procedures.
- Transport residents when required.
- Previous experience working with seniors is preferred.
