Requirements
  • At least 5 years of IT-related technical experience in networking.
  • Experience working in complex enterprise environments.
  • A university degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, or a Computer Systems Technology diploma/certificate with equivalent experience.
  • Design experience with Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers and enterprise Wi-Fi deployments.
  • Experience designing and implementing office and campus local area and wide area network infrastructure.
  • Working knowledge of Cisco IOS, NX-OS, IOS-XE, and related hardware, including Nexus 7000/5000/2000, ASR1000 Series, and Catalyst 6500/4500.
  • In-depth understanding and implementation experience with IP routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
  • Experience with F5 BIG-IP appliances.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with other infrastructure teams.
Responsibilities
  • Work closely with senior Network Engineering resources and participate in implementing and maintaining new and ongoing projects.
  • Maintain network equipment and respond to maintenance requests and escalations as required.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues across multiple technologies.
  • Act as a technical escalation point for the Network Operations team.
  • Develop and maintain network documentation in accordance with engineering policies and procedures.
  • Initiate, participate in, and follow up on network change-management events.
  • Understand the scope and cost of decisions and the potential impact those decisions could have.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience implementing and supporting Cisco Data Center technologies, including VPC, VDC, and FabricPath.
  • Experience with Cisco ISE, PRIME, and ACS.
  • Experience with Check Point firewalls.
  • Experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
