Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a similar degree is required.
  • Candidates must be able to hold and maintain a security clearance and must be U.S. citizens.
  • A background or education in computer and network security is required.
  • Strong Linux software development experience is required.
  • Experience debugging embedded systems is required.
  • Experience with ARM, MIPS, and PPC assembly languages is required.
  • Experience employing static or dynamic analysis techniques for binary inspection is required.
  • Experience using protocol analyzers, software-defined radios, and signals analysis or capture is required.
  • Experience developing embedded software within real-time operating systems or bare-metal environments and using their associated tools is required.
  • A strong background in networks, including network concepts and protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, and DNS, is required.
  • Experience with software configuration management and tools such as Git is required.
Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software, including building vulnerability exploits.
  • Analyze systems and software to identify and characterize vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct research using white-box and black-box methodologies to analyze embedded systems.
  • Analyze data streams and parse protocols to identify security weaknesses.
  • Apply code inspection techniques to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Support software engineering development by translating algorithm prototypes into optimized, production-quality code suitable for operational deployment.
  • Document, test, and communicate technical research results to technical and non-technical user groups.
  • Contribute to design documentation and other documentation artifacts.
