Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a university or college program and will remain enrolled in the upcoming semester, ideally entering the third or fourth year; a background in Business Administration, Operations Management, Data Analytics, Risk Management, Insurance, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
Responsibilities
  • Support the Zurich Resilience Solutions Operations team with day-to-day operational activities and business initiatives.
  • Assist with data collection, validation, cleansing, analysis, and reporting using Excel, Power BI, and other business systems.
  • Maintain accurate customer, policy, service request, and assignment information in Global Risk Engineering Workstation (GREW) and related systems.
  • Monitor shared inbox requests, gather missing information, coordinate follow-ups, and direct requests to appropriate team members.
  • Assist with creating and updating service requests and assignments while following established naming, billing, and data-quality requirements.
  • Support recurring and ad hoc analyses, including revenue, lead-time, utilization, service delivery, and data-quality reporting.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Risk Engineering, Underwriting, Climate, and other internal stakeholders to complete requests and support business priorities.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and continuous-improvement initiatives.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including organizing, validating, analyzing, and presenting data.
  • Experience with, or interest in learning, Power BI and other reporting or data-visualization tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, organize priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Comfort working with business systems, operational data, and standardized processes.
  • Ability to document processes clearly and create user-friendly procedures or training materials.
  • Customer focus and ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across different functions.
  • Curiosity, adaptability, self-motivation, and willingness to learn new systems and processes.
  • Professionalism, dependability, and ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Previous experience in operations, engineering, or data analytics is an asset but not required.

Zurich launches LifeVault platform. Organising wills and documents. Provider, Zurich, has launched a digital platform, LifeVault, for customers to organise wills, important documents, personal wishes and memories in one place. Zurich said the platform is designed to extend support beyond the traditional life insurance pay out. According to the provider's survey of 2,000 UK adults, managing probate or estate administration falls to 42% of people facing the death of a loved one. The provider found that 60% of people responsible for probate found it difficult, which increased to 83% of millennials. While 79% of adults had worries about how their loved ones will cope after they pass, Zurich said 48% of the adult population (48%) have a valid will.
