Bluechip Infotech secures Versa for A/NZ distribution.

Bluechip Infotech secures Versa for A/NZ distribution. 21 Jul 2026 3 mins The pair will also deepen their regional partnership and expand managed services programs. Bluechip Infotech has partnered with unified networking and security vendor Versa to offer VersaONE Universal SASE Platform in Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ). The agreement will bring the platform to enterprises, government agencies, and managed service providers, according to a statement by the two companies. Bluechip and Versa will also look to deepen their regional partnership and expand managed services programs. The statement said Bluechip selected Versa due to a number of requirements, which include growing demand for the consolidation of fragmented security and networking architectures, replacing expensive multiprotocol label switching, and meeting compliance obligations for frameworks like the Essential Eight, APRA CPS 234, and the Information Security Manual. It also chose the vendor because of the connectivity and security gap experienced by remote and regional organisations - including those in the mining, energy, agriculture, and government sectors - that use satellite-only links with no on-site IT expertise and limited access to enterprise-grade protection. "Bluechip evaluated the market against criteria it held non-negotiable: true single-vendor architecture built from a single codebase (not assembled from acquisitions), flexible cloud, on-premises, and hybrid deployment without security compromises, purpose-built multi-tenancy for MSPs, and analyst validation," Bluechip said. "Versa was the only platform to meet every requirement." The distributor's director of marketing and alliances, Will Harsono, said modern IT environments need a balance of security depth and operational efficiency, particularly for the management of distributed workforces and remote infrastructure. "Versa's universal SASE platform offers the technical rigor and multi-tenant capabilities our partners need to solve these challenges," he said. "This partnership is about empowering our channel to build more resilient, enterprise-grade networks for their clients, while simplifying the way they manage their security stacks." Versa chief revenue officer Martin Mackay added that, from his perspective, Bluechip understands the regional market, the partner ecosystem, and the needs of remote and distributed organisations spread throughout A/NZ. "Together, we can help customers modernise faster, reduce operational friction, and deliver secure connectivity wherever users, branches, applications, and workloads need to operate," he said. Earlier this month, Bluechip inked a deal with Huawei to bring its eKit networking and data storage solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to the Australian market. Versa launches Europe's first fully sovereign SASE with four-plane control under EU jurisdiction

Versa Networks has launched Europe's first fully sovereign SASE platform, operated from ISO 27001-certified facilities in Germany by noris network AG. The service addresses a critical gap in the European market, where most SASE vendors operate control planes outside EU jurisdiction despite offering data residency options. Versa's Sovereign SASE provides sovereignty across all four architectural planes—data, control, management and legal jurisdiction—with all traffic inspection, policy enforcement and access decisions handled within Germany under EU law. The platform includes full SASE capabilities, including AI-powered threat detection through VersaAI, without functionality restrictions. The service is contracted through Versa Networks B.V., a Netherlands-based EU entity, and is designed for organisations in regulated industries requiring compliance with GDPR, NIS2, DORA and Germany's KRITIS framework. It is available now as a fully managed service.

Versa launches zero trust architecture for AI agents with step-by-step validation

Versa Networks has introduced a Zero Trust architecture for the Model Context Protocol, applying security controls to AI agent actions. The system, integrated into Versa's AI operations co-pilot Verbo and VersaONE Universal SASE Platform, validates every AI-generated step against user identity, access controls and system policies before execution. Administrators can define policies determining which agent actions execute automatically, require human approval or are blocked based on identity, role, context and risk level. All approved actions are logged with full attribution for auditability. The announcement builds on Versa's open-source MCP Server launched in April 2025 and follows the introduction of agentic capabilities in Verbo later that year. The solution is available now as part of VersaONE Universal SASE Platform Release 23.1.1, supporting SaaS, on-premises and hybrid deployments.

The questionnaire-based TPRM model is broken, and TrustCloud has a fix. TrustCloud announced a new version of TrustLens, its third party risk management (TPRM) solution. The new TrustLens agentic AI capabilities focus on delivering four requirements every CISO wants in their TPRM program: speed, accuracy, coverage, and proactive risk mitigation. Alation AI Governance creates a system of record for AI oversight. Alation has introduced Alation AI Governance, a new offering that gives enterprises the system of record they are missing for AI compliance. The solution registers every AI model, agent, and tool into a single inventory, maps each to applicable regulations, generates evidence-backed model cards, routes approvals through regulation-aware workflows, and produces a live compliance posture for the executive team on demand, not on deadline. Versa CSPM brings continuous visibility to cloud risk and compliance exposure. Versa has announced Versa Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM), extending the VersaONE Universal SASE Platform to provide continuous visibility, prioritization, and remediation of cloud risk across environments. With CSPM, Versa combines secure access protection and cloud posture risk on a single platform, delivering the visibility security teams need to quantify and reduce enterprise cyber exposure. Apricorn hardens ASK3 encrypted USB drive for extreme conditions. Apricorn has announced enhancements to its Aegis Secure Key 3.0 (ASK3), delivering faster performance and new environmental protection capabilities designed to secure the device and its data in the most demanding physical circumstances. Versa launches cloud security posture management for VersaONE Universal SASE platform

Versa has launched Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) for its VersaONE Universal SASE Platform, announced at the company's Versatility conference in Santa Clara. The service provides continuous visibility and remediation of cloud security risks across multi-cloud environments including Google Cloud Platform, Azure, AWS and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Versa CSPM identifies and prioritises misconfigurations and compliance risks in real time, checking them against security standards like CIS, NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2 and PCI-DSS. The platform combines cloud posture risk and access risk management in a single operational view, addressing visibility gaps created by fragmented security tools. The solution offers risk-based prioritisation, audit-ready compliance reporting, and guided remediation capabilities, helping security teams reduce enterprise cyber exposure with less complexity.
