Requirements
  • At least 10 years of experience in quality assurance, quality engineering, or test automation, including previous experience in an architect role.
  • Previous experience leading a manual-to-automation quality assurance transformation.
  • Deep expertise in Azure DevOps platform administration, pipelines, repositories, test plans, and artifacts, with a strong focus on deployment pipelines.
  • Proven experience designing and governing enterprise continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
  • Strong experience with automation frameworks such as Playwright or Selenium.
  • Experience with application programming interface testing, data validation, and pipeline-integrated testing strategies.
  • Strong scripting or programming skills in C#, Python, PowerShell, JMeter, or similar technologies.
  • Experience integrating quality assurance into continuous integration and continuous delivery workflows with enforceable quality gates, including regression, integration, performance, and other quality checks.
  • Experience establishing governance frameworks for quality assurance and DevOps practices.
  • Strong understanding of modern software development life cycle, DevOps, and Agile practices.
  • Data and analytics literacy to design quality engineering processes and interpret trends.
  • Ability to provide a non-cellular high-speed internet service for the home office, with minimum speeds of 30 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload and latency below 80 ms.
  • Ability to maintain a dedicated workspace without ongoing interruptions to protect protected health information and HIPAA information.
Responsibilities
  • Define the quality assurance engineering and DevOps automation architecture.
  • Define and evolve the test technology stack, reference architecture, code standards, and repository structure used by the team.
  • Assess emerging quality and DevOps technologies and determine how they can enhance quality services.
  • Assess quality implications of emerging technologies in development, data, and analytical domains.
  • Help lead and assist with modernization of the end-to-end software development life cycle process and align supporting technology with emerging best practices.
  • Design, implement, and optimize Azure DevOps continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines with integrated quality gates and governance controls.
  • Establish enterprise standards for build, release, and deployment pipelines, including compliance and auditability.
  • Integrate automated user-interface, application-programming-interface, performance, and data-validation testing frameworks into continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
  • Define and enforce quality assurance governance models, including standards, controls, and best practices across teams.
  • Manage the automation backlog using risk-ranked regression suites and maintain a deliberate record of which test cases are automated and why.
  • Identify and retire technical debt in the quality assurance technology stack.
  • Lead adoption of artificial-intelligence-assisted quality assurance tools for test generation, defect prediction, and intelligent automation.
  • Partner with DevOps, engineering, and platform teams to ensure seamless end-to-end software development life cycle integration.
  • Lead shift-left quality initiatives that embed testing early in the development life cycle and shift-right processes that incorporate learnings from production incidents.
  • Evaluate and select tools and frameworks for quality assurance automation, pipeline optimization, and artificial intelligence integration.
  • Mentor quality assurance and DevOps engineers on automation, pipelines, and governance best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement of deployment reliability, speed, and quality metrics.
  • Extend quality assurance oversight to artificial intelligence agents and bot interactions, define rules and grades for bots, and ensure parity of quality controls across human and virtual agents.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with infrastructure as code, including Bicep, Terraform, or Azure Resource Manager.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Experience with cloud-native architectures, preferably Azure.
  • Experience with artificial-intelligence-assisted development or testing tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor AI, or AI test-generation platforms.
  • Experience with data platforms such as Snowflake or dbt.
  • Familiarity with security, compliance, and enterprise artificial intelligence governance policies.
