Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 15 years of hands-on BMC Remedy, AR System, and ITSM suite consulting experience, including architecture, customization, upgrades, and administration across multiple environments.
- Deep working knowledge of Atrium Configuration Management Database, Service Request Management, Service Level Management and Service Level Agreements, Remedy Knowledge Management, Mid-Tier, Atrium Integrator, custom workflow development, and Smart Reporting.
- Proven experience integrating Remedy through Representational State Transfer, Simple Object Access Protocol, Lightweight Directory Access Protocol, Active Directory, and common enterprise systems.
- Experience operating in federal or Department of Defense environments and aligning Asset Lifecycle and ITSM controls with security and Information Technology Infrastructure Library requirements.
- Ability to obtain or maintain required clearance, including Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information or Public Trust.
Responsibilities
- Own architecture, configuration, and support for Remedy AR System and the ITSM suite, including Service Desk, Change Management, Asset Management, Atrium Configuration Management Database, Atrium Integrator, Service Level Management, Knowledge Management, Service Request Management, Mid-Tier, Distributed Server Option, Approval Server, Email Engine, Smart Reporting, SmartIT, MyIT, and Digital Workplace Advanced.
- Administer Development, Quality Assurance, and Production servers, including environment setup, promotion paths, and operational health.
- Plan and execute major platform upgrades across lifecycle stages.
- Tune performance and apply upgrade architecture best practices for large federal deployments.
- Configure and import Foundation data, Process data, Transaction data, and Configuration Item updates.
- Develop and maintain service requests in Service Request Management to meet Request Catalog requirements for IT and business users.
- Customize out-of-the-box modules by designing and deploying new workflow objects and custom application forms.
- Design, configure, and implement Asset Lifecycle solutions aligned with federal security protocols and ITIL practices.
- Configure and schedule Smart Reports broadcasts for operational and business-intelligence reporting.
- Monitor ITSM process performance against Service Level Targets and drive timely delivery.
- Integrate Remedy with enterprise platforms such as Flexera, SharePoint, netTerrain, LDAP/Active Directory, mobile barcode scanning, and network access control tools such as Forescout.
- Implement REST API and SOAP web services for ticket transfer and related enterprise interfaces.
- Customize Remedy applications and automate ticketing by integrating vulnerability scan results such as ACAS and certificate-check services.
- Partner with federal stakeholders to gather requirements and produce technical specifications.
- Lead implementations, upgrades, and complex troubleshooting for business-critical Remedy systems.
- Support the full project lifecycle, including architecture, requirements, design, development, validation, deployment, and post-production support.
- Contribute to scoping and level-of-effort estimates and mentor peer engineers on BMC Helix Core and Remedy capability.
Desired Qualifications
- BMC Certified Professional certification or equivalent demonstrated mastery.
- Prior support of Department of Defense combatant commands, United States military services, or Fortune 100 and large federal agencies.
- Experience with Digital Workplace, SmartIT, MyIT, Virtual Chat, Distributed Server Option, and Email Engine and Approval Server configuration.
- Familiarity with Windows, Linux, and UNIX host platforms.
- Background mentoring consultants and leading technical capability for BMC Helix Core and Remedy.
