Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a comparable field is required.
  • At least 15 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, supply chain, operations, Lean, and/or operational excellence is required.
  • Proven experience building enterprise operating systems, Lean management systems, and functional governance models is required.

Responsibilities
  • Own the enterprise Lean functional strategy, governance model, standards, and deployment roadmap.
  • Create a scalable Lean organization design covering roles, responsibilities, decision rights, resource allocation, and operating cadence across enterprise, region, segment, site, and functional levels.
  • Establish the Lean career path, role charters, success profiles, competency expectations, and progression criteria for Lean practitioners and leaders.
  • Partner with Human Resources, Talent Development, and Integrated Supply Chain leaders to build a sustainable Lean talent pipeline and succession approach.
  • Provide functional leadership to Lean leaders through direct, matrixed, and community-of-practice mechanisms.
  • Serve as the enterprise owner for Lean performance measurement and Integrated Supply Chain performance management architecture in partnership with the Vice President of Operational Excellence.
  • Lead deployment of the Integrated Supply Chain and Operational Excellence strategy through a focused Lean management system.
  • Own the design, deployment, and maturation of the enterprise supply chain management operating system.
  • Establish the Integrated Supply Chain operating system linking strategy, execution, problem solving, and accountability.
  • Build tiered management systems that create visibility and accountability at the point of impact.
  • Develop standard escalation processes for operational abnormalities.
  • Develop Lean leadership capability throughout supply chain and functional organizations.
  • Create and govern Lean training, coaching, certification, and application standards in partnership with Human Resources and Talent Development.
  • Coach senior leaders, Lean leaders, and functional partners on Lean behaviors, problem solving, Gemba leadership, Leader Standard Work, and daily management.
  • Build communities of practice and knowledge-sharing mechanisms to scale standard processes across sites and functions.
  • Ensure capability building is tied to measurable maturity, value realization, and talent outcomes.
  • Use Lean principles to improve flow, responsiveness, productivity, quality, safety, customer delivery, inventory, and cash.
  • Identify systemic barriers to performance.
  • Lead enterprise-level value stream assessments.
  • Coach teams to solve root causes rather than symptoms.
  • Support critical business performance turnarounds.
  • Embed Lean principles into planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, quality, engineering, environmental health and safety, digital, and support functions.
  • Drive standardization, simplification, and waste elimination.
  • Serve as an independent advisor to the Vice President of Operational Excellence and Chief Supply Chain Officer on organizational health, Lean maturity, and operational performance.
  • Assess operational performance and management system maturity.
  • Provide objective recommendations on priorities, resource allocation, and corrective actions.
Desired Qualifications
  • An MBA is preferred.
  • Lean Master Black Belt certification or equivalent is preferred.
  • Expertise in Hoshin Kanri, Leader Standard Work, Daily Management Systems, Kaizen, Value Stream Transformation, and Lean capability development is preferred.

NVT targets $2B in data center sales by 2026, doubles liquid cooling capacity

The company ended the second quarter with a $2.5 billion backlog and plans to spend approximately $130 million on capital expenditures in 2026, representing a 40% year-over-year increase. nVent Electric reported second-quarter 2026 adjusted earnings of $1.45 per share, up 68.6% year over year and beating estimates by 25%. Revenues climbed 52.8% to $1.47 billion, exceeding consensus by 17%. The strong performance was driven by exceptional demand from AI data centres and infrastructure markets. Organic sales increased 47%, with new products contributing more than 30 percentage points to growth. Systems Protection generated sales of $1.07 billion, up 69.6% year over year with 62% organic growth. Electrical Connections posted sales of $399 million, up 20.5% with 18% organic growth. Backlog remained healthy at $2.5 billion. The company announced manufacturing expansion for liquid cooling and launched 14 new products during the quarter.

nVent expands data center liquid cooling capacity. LONDON - nVent Electric plc (NYSE:NVT), a global leader in electrical connection and protection solutions, today announced the lease of additional manufacturing space at a second location in Blaine, Minnesota. The new 160,000 square-foot site will expand nVent's capacity to manufacture data center liquid cooling solutions, supporting the surging demand for liquid cooling technologies that enable artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing. This marks nVent's third data center liquid cooling capacity expansion in three years, adding more than 400,000 square feet of new space overall. The new site is expected to begin production in the first half of 2027 and employ more than 200 people.
