Requirements
  • At least 5 years of public relations, communications, or marketing experience in an agency environment.
  • Experience working with business-to-business technology clients, including enterprise software, cloud, data, or artificial intelligence.
  • Established relationships with business, trade, and technology media and analysts.
  • Proven ability to develop and lead integrated communications programs that deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Strong project management and multitasking abilities across multiple client accounts.
  • Experience managing and mentoring junior staff.
  • Demonstrated success in building trusted client relationships and managing complex client dynamics.
  • A proactive, collaborative, and resourceful problem-solving approach with an interest in technology and innovation.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead comprehensive media and analyst relations strategies for business-to-business technology clients across enterprise, cloud, security, artificial intelligence, and financial technology sectors.
  • Cultivate relationships with key business, trade, and technology media outlets and industry influencers.
  • Guide teams in building and maintaining media lists, identifying relevant opportunities, and crafting story angles.
  • Use social media platforms to amplify earned media, engage key audiences, and enhance client visibility.
  • Measure the return on investment and impact of media and influencer engagement programs.
  • Identify thought-leadership opportunities through contributed content, speaking engagements, and analyst briefings.
  • Serve as the day-to-day client contact, managing programs from kickoff through goal achievement.
  • Develop strategic communications plans that drive awareness, credibility, and pipeline impact for business-to-business technology brands.
  • Set goals based on news generation, thought leadership, and sustained coverage.
  • Provide strategic counsel to clients, anticipate needs, and manage challenges or change.
  • Lead client meetings, media training sessions, and message-development workshops.
  • Oversee budgets, staffing plans, and deliverables to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to expand account scope and grow client partnerships.
  • Develop and oversee core communications materials, including press releases, bylined articles, messaging frameworks, award submissions, and briefing books.
  • Craft strategic and persuasive pitches that secure top-tier media coverage.
  • Produce content that explains complex business-to-business technology concepts through clear narratives for diverse audiences.
  • Review and edit team materials for tone, accuracy, and brand alignment.
  • Manage two or more direct reports, set goals, provide feedback, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that supports creativity, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Support new business initiatives by identifying prospective clients, contributing to pitch development, and participating in presentations.
  • Represent Highwire at industry and networking events to build visibility and relationships in the business-to-business technology community.
  • Contribute to Highwire's thought leadership through blog posts, social media engagement, and internal initiatives.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to establish and track quarterly growth goals.
  • Drive projects forward and solve problems independently.
  • Seek opportunities for professional growth, skill development, and industry engagement.
  • Stay current on business-to-business technology trends and innovations to bring insights to client programs.
  • Manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and communicate proactively about project status.
  • Attend industry and professional networking events to expand knowledge and connections.
