Responsibilities
Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly reviews of merchant activity, analyzing increased credit risk, transactional variations, dispute activity, and fraud patterns.
Proactively monitor merchant activities for compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and policies.
Investigate abnormal processing patterns and recommend appropriate actions.
Review and analyze financial, credit, and publicly available information to support actions and decisions.
Assess business model risk and exposure by evaluating merchant industry type, processing volume, refunds volume, delivery time frames, and disputes.
Answer internal and external inquiries specific to risk.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a similar field.

About the Position: Working under the direction of the Manager, Risk, the Risk Analyst I is responsible for the oversight of merchant accounts to identify, investigate and mitigate activity that represents financial risk to the Company based on Company guidelines. The Risk Analyst supports the Risk department’s function in protecting the Company against the risk of loss associated with providing products/services for customers.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
1-3 years of experience in Risk Management within the acquiring industry
Experience with various tools used for underwriting and due diligence (i.e. Equifax, TIN Check, MATCH, GIACT, Merlink, etc.).
Experience working in call center environment.
Preferred
Bachelor’s Degree, Finance, Business Administration, or similar.
Experience with working in high-risk verticals.

Pay Range: $25 - $28 /hr. This position will consider candidates to report on site in the Greater Houston area.
