We are looking for an exceptional Corporate Infrastructure Engineer who will directly report to the Manager, Corporate IT. They will interact with most, if not all, other Technology departments on some level, mainly for troubleshooting and equipment set-ups. Also interacts with HR, Office Management and Facilities for placement of employees and communal computer equipment and Executive Support.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the success of all corporate technology services in the region, including employee support (help desk), executive support, audio visual services, information security, and infrastructure and network troubleshooting;
- Provide break-fix support for PC and MAC users across a variety of IT infrastructure and technologies;
- Source, procure and purchase all hardware, software and peripheral needs for staffing and general infrastructure requirements;
- New hire hardware and software setups including all profiles, appropriate network access and user aliases;
- Manage, track and renew all software licenses that Aera possesses and needs to acquire;
- Maintain and troubleshoot all wi-fi and wireless connectivity infrastructure;
- Manage key deliverables including storage, backup strategies, data transfers and cloud/streaming initiatives;
- Responsible for the operations of secure and highly available computing platforms, servers, and networks;
- Install, maintain, upgrade, and continuously improve Aera’s operating environment;
- Other responsibilities include troubleshooting problems as reported by users, supporting Web access and electronic messaging services and maintaining a secure systems environment
- Identify business challenges and propose proactive technical solutions to resolve them;
- Work with Aera stakeholders and key business partners to design, influence and integrate technical solutions to support and enable effective Corporate Services;
- Collaborate with Technology counterparts across departments to identify best practices and lessons learned to drive operational efficiencies and future growth planning;
- Participate in IT strategic planning discussions related to potential future office locations;
- Oversee IT integration with multiple remote partners and offsite locations;
- Contribute to long-term strategies and business justification for additional IT resources to accommodate employee growth;
- Has a professional conduct in interaction with colleagues, collaborators and customers of the company, or when representing the company with any occasion.
About You
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload efficiently and effectively.
- Familiar with GSuite
- Expert level knowledge of Mac, MacOS and Mac versions of applications
- AV Support experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years’ experience in technology field
- MacOS proficiency
- Azure AD Experience
- Experience using remote access tools
- Ability to prioritize and understand urgency and impact
- Ability to write knowledge base articles
- Strong Customer Service skills
- Exceptional listening skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Highly motivated individual
- Ability to carry out the day-to-day functions of their job description independently
- Ability to compose grammatically correct, concise, and accurate notes
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds
The appropriate candidate will be based in the San Francisco, Bay Area and will be required to be present in one of our Bay Area offices (SF or Mountain View), roughly 3 times per week. Please keep in mind that attendance in both offices will be expected as demand requires.
