About the job

Requirements
  • 2–4 years of experience in People Operations, HR Operations, HR Shared Services, or an HR service center, ideally supporting a multi-country workforce.
  • Experience working a ticket queue in ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, Zendesk, or a similar tool, and managing to service-level agreements.
  • Working knowledge of human resources fundamentals, including common policies, leave types, employment verifications, onboarding and offboarding steps, awareness that requirements vary by country, and sound judgment about when to escalate.
  • Workday HCM experience executing lifecycle transactions, with a high bar for data accuracy.
  • Clear written communication to turn a policy into a short, useful answer and set expectations when a request needs more time.
  • Comfort working asynchronously across time zones, with flexibility to adjust hours periodically to support EMEA and APAC coverage.
  • Discretion and judgment handling confidential employee information.
  • Organization and follow-through across a high volume of requests.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and Slack.
  • The position requires access to export-controlled information. Applicants must be a U.S. person, eligible to access the information without required export authorization, or eligible and reasonably likely to obtain the required authorization; the company may decline to pursue export licensing for legitimate business reasons.
Responsibilities
  • Own day-to-day triage of the global People service queue: review, categorize, prioritize, and route requests from North America, EMEA, and APAC within service-level agreements.
  • Resolve Tier 1 inquiries directly, including policy questions, employment verifications, Workday navigation, leave and benefits basics, and general how-to requests.
  • Escalate Tier 2, country-specific, and sensitive matters, including employee relations, compensation, local leave entitlements, and legal questions, to the appropriate People Business Partner, Payroll, Total Rewards, Legal, or employer-of-record partner with sufficient context so employees do not have to repeat themselves.
  • Apply the correct regional guidance where policies and processes differ by country, or route requests accordingly rather than defaulting to a U.S. answer.
  • Close the loop with employees and managers on every request.
  • Execute lifecycle transactions in Workday, including onboarding, offboarding, and job and data changes, following documented processes and controls.
  • Keep an audit trail for every change and keep ticket and Workday records accurate and current.
  • Coordinate with regional Payroll teams and vendors on requests that affect pay, with clear handoffs and on-time processing across pay cycles and time zones.
  • Own the queue's knowledge base articles and response templates: write new content, keep it current, and retire outdated content.
  • Track queue health by region, including volume, response time, resolution time, and employee satisfaction, and report trends to the team.
  • Propose and implement fixes for recurring issues, such as intake changes, workflow updates, or automation.
  • Train and support contractors and new team members working the queue.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience supporting employees in EMEA and/or APAC, including through employer-of-record providers.
  • Experience writing or maintaining knowledge base articles, FAQs, or response templates.
  • Experience in a SOX-controlled or public-company environment.
  • Exposure to federal contractor or FedRAMP environments, including E-Verify processing and federal recordkeeping requirements.
  • Familiarity with data privacy requirements such as GDPR.
  • Background in a high-growth technology or AI-native company.
  • Active use of AI tools in day-to-day People Operations work.
  • Additional language skills.

Musk warns most of 200+ AI cloud firms will fold as CoreWeave bond yield hits 15.76%

Elon Musk says lenders have almost entirely stopped funding companies that earn money only from AI data centres. He predicts most of the more than 200 AI cloud firms, known as neoclouds, will fold or be bought. CoreWeave, the largest listed neocloud, is paying record rates on its debt. The yield on its $2.75 billion bond due 2031 has hit 15.76%, and its shares are about 70% below their peak. It has reported obligations of $50 billion. Chief executive Mike Intrator told staff the firm's backlog "more than supports all of our debt obligations." Musk's SpaceX says it just closed $40 billion of borrowing. Musk credited its investment-grade rating and its Starlink and rocket-launch income. Some neoclouds will survive, he wrote, "but not many.

Neocloud "death spiral" fears hit AI boom as CoreWeave's $32B debt and equity pile meets 16% rates

Shares in "neocloud" firms such as CoreWeave, Nebius and Iren have slumped as investors balk at heavy losses and high borrowing costs. Nvidia and Oracle shares are down 10% from their peak earlier this month. CoreWeave has raised $32bn in debt and equity to fund 51 data centres, yet reported revenue of just $4.6bn in the first six months of the year. Interest rates on some of its debt briefly hit 16% last week. HSBC analysts said its return on investment is 8.9%, well below borrowing costs, and judged it overvalued by 50%. Australia's Firmus has cancelled a £20bn IPO. Gartner analyst Will Sommer predicts 80% of neoclouds will cease independent operations by 2030, and that $3.5tn in AI infrastructure spending could be written off. Nvidia's chief executive, Jensen Huang, says the sector faces a "scarcity of capital", not weak demand.

Blackstone's $2.3 Billion CoreWeave Bet Sparked a Trillion-Dollar AI Lending Boom

In 2023, executives at Blackstone (NYSE:BX) asked CoreWeave (NASDAQ:CRWV) two questions: “What is a GPU?” and “Is AI real?” Three years later, the $2.3 billion financing Blackstone helped arrange has become the blueprint for a chip-backed lending market that could...

Goldman upgrades CoreWeave to Buy with $106 target despite 56% share slump

Goldman Sachs upgraded CoreWeave from Neutral to Buy on October 19, 2026, even as it cut its 12-month price target from $139 to $106. The new target implies a gain of about 73% from the October 16 close of $61.39. CoreWeave shares have lost nearly half their value since August, partly because yields on its 2031 and 2032 bonds climbed to around 15%. Analyst Gabriela Borges argues investors have overestimated the effect of future borrowing and underestimated the profit from new data center contracts. CoreWeave rents Nvidia chips to firms such as Meta and OpenAI. It had locked in about $104 billion in future revenue by the end of the second quarter, but posted a $626 million net loss that quarter. Ark Invest bought about $25.8 million of the stock in mid-October.

Neoclouds explained: GPU providers behind the AI boom face a $3.5T impairment risk

Neoclouds, specialist providers that rent out GPU capacity for AI training and inference, have gone from unknown startups to listed companies with contracts worth billions of dollars. CoreWeave, Nebius and IREN lead the listed group; Lambda, Crusoe and Fluidstack remain private. Their shares fell hard in October 2026. CoreWeave dropped 29%, leaving it valued at about $34 billion against a 2025 peak of about $90 billion; Nebius fell 27% and IREN 32%. CoreWeave's unsecured debt yielded about 15%. On October 14, 2026, Gartner predicted that more than 80% of neocloud providers will stop operating independently by 2030. It also warned that more than $3.5 trillion of AI infrastructure spending could face impairment. Demand remains strong. CoreWeave co-founder Brannin McBee said nearly all of its 2027 capacity is sold.
