ADI designs, manufactures, and sells high-performance analog, mixed-signal, and DSP integrated circuits that sense, measure, interpret, connect, and power the physical world in electronic devices. Its products include data converters, amplifiers, and power-management ICs that OEMs embed to handle analog sensing and digital processing inside their products. ADI differentiates itself through a broad, industry-spanning portfolio and close collaboration with customers to solve complex engineering challenges, rather than focusing on a single product type. Its goal is to provide reliable signal-processing solutions that bridge the physical world and digital systems, helping customers create more capable electronic products.

Analog Devices hits $375 amid AI data centre boom, but investors question industrial recovery prospects

Analog Devices reported second-quarter revenue of $3.62 billion and adjusted diluted earnings per share of $3.09, with industrial and communications revenue rising 56% and 79% respectively. The company guided third-quarter revenue to $3.9 billion with adjusted EPS of $3.30. ADI completed a $1.5 billion cash acquisition of Empower Semiconductor to strengthen its power management portfolio for AI systems. Empower's silicon capacitors are in production, whilst integrated voltage regulator programmes are under development with hyperscalers and AI chip designers. At $375.29 per share on 17 July, the consensus price target of $447 suggests approximately 19% upside, whilst the bull case of $515 offers around 37%. However, critics argue the strongest growth categories reflect recovery from depressed customer inventories rather than establishing new permanent demand. The company posted trailing twelve-month free cash flow of $4.57 billion.

Analog Devices secures $3B credit facility as analysts see 16% upside potential

Analog Devices has secured a new 364-day revolving credit facility worth $3.0 billion, adding flexible funding capacity to its balance sheet. The company's shares have recently cooled, falling 2.52% in the last session and 5.57% over 30 days, though longer-term performance remains strong with a one-year return of 56.69%. Following the pullback, Analog Devices now trades at $379.03 per share. Analysts suggest a fair value of $451.03, indicating the stock could be 16% undervalued. This valuation assumes continued momentum from AI infrastructure expansion, green energy investments, and aerospace and defence spending. The company has been building supply-constrained opportunities in high-value segments and recently completed its Empower Semiconductor acquisition. However, the valuation narrative could shift if competition pressures pricing power or if manufacturing and R&D spending outpaces demand.

Analog Devices surges 80% after deliberately holding back 20% of industrial demand

Analog Devices has surged 80% over the past year after management repeatedly disclosed it was deliberately restricting shipments below customer demand in its largest market. Despite trailing-twelve-month revenue declining 6.2% as of fiscal Q2 2025, executives detailed they were "undershipping" by approximately 20% to prevent inventory gluts. By May 2025, management confirmed shipments were still 10% below consumption levels but signalled the restraint period was ending. The company announced it would begin matching end demand in Q3, releasing pent-up sales in its most profitable segment during a cyclical upturn. The industrial recovery coincided with expanding AI exposure, including content worth hundreds of thousands of dollars per unit in AI test systems and new data centre wins. The market had priced in declining sales whilst management was describing imminent demand release.

MathWorks and ADI unveil RF digital twin workflows for radar and satellite systems at IMS 2026

MathWorks is showcasing an RF digital twin capability at the International Microwave Symposium 2026, integrating validated hardware models from Analog Devices into system-level simulations for radar and satellite communication systems. The technology enables engineers to assess architectural trade-offs and performance before hardware finalisation. The capability combines ADI's RF component models with MathWorks' system-level design environments, allowing analysis of how RF impairments affect detection performance and link reliability. Leonardo, a global aerospace and defence company, is an early adopter, using the workflow for advanced radar programmes. MathWorks will demonstrate the technology through a technical workshop on 9 June and joint presentations with ADI and Leonardo. The company plans to extend digital twin models to more mainstream components as part of its longer-term strategy for RF system design and verification.
