Requirements
  • Education: Required – High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred – Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience: Required – With a high school diploma, at least 3 years related direct experience.
  • Preferred – With bachelor’s degree may substitute for experience.
  • Maintain certificates required for the position including but not limited to First Aid and CPR.
  • Valid Texas Driver’s license with a clear driving record and reliable transportation.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens.
  • Provide proof or work eligibility status upon request.
  • Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background and motor vehicle check (fingerprints needed if applicant has lived out of state within the past 5 years).
  • Immunization policy: annual influenza vaccination or approved exemption as a condition of employment.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) and ensure members are actively engaged in program decision-making.
  • Solicit and share family feedback with the PAC for analysis, strategy development, and service coordination.
  • Develop, review, and revise a quarterly outreach plan with the support of the PAC.
  • Conduct family surveys to assess needs and review results with the PAC.
  • Partner with the PAC to host parent-led events, initiatives, parent cafes, and other workshops.
  • Provide targeted outreach and recruitment of participants for FRC activities to identify underserved populations.
  • Provide/facilitate training for families on self-advocacy and leadership.
  • Establish and maintain a trusting and professional working relationship with families by providing regular contact.
  • Record all group and individualized services and activities in a complete, concise, and timely manner utilizing program forms into PEIRS (DFPS) Salesforce (BCFS) databases.
  • Measurable Deliverables: Document all attendance on a weekly basis in all platforms.
  • Measurable Deliverables: Attend all required annual trainings.
  • Measurable Deliverables: Provide community education on child development, parenting, or other topics requested by the PAC monthly.
  • Measurable Deliverables: Collaborate with the supervisor to develop updates, reminders, and community education information monthly.
  • Measurable Deliverables: Meet with supervisor on a bi-weekly basis to evaluate status of families on caseload.
  • Measurable Deliverables: Meet all deliverables as outlined in the contract.
  • Measurable Deliverables: Demonstrate the ability to: a) Respond sensitively and competently to the service population’s cultural and socio-economic characteristics. b) Communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English. c) Work in a fast-paced environment. d) Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position. e) Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team. f) Travel as needed.
