Responsibilities

Own the product backlog operationally and functionally for assigned BMx systems or capability areas.
Work with Government stakeholders, Functional SMEs, Help Desk personnel, Scrum Masters, System Architects, and DevSecOps leadership to align backlog priorities with operational mission requirements, maintenance workflows, PMEL operations, modernization objectives, cybersecurity requirements, and cloud migration activities.
Refine the backlog, prioritize user stories and technical debt, develop acceptance criteria, coordinate modernization sequencing, and align operational releases.
Balance sustainment demands, emergent deficiencies, modernization initiatives, and operational priorities so Agile teams deliver operational value without destabilizing mission-critical workflows.
Evaluate modernization candidates, validate operational impacts, prioritize technical debt remediation, and coordinate release readiness activities affecting maintenance scheduling, calibration workflows, readiness reporting, and enterprise logistics operations.

Desired Qualifications

Functional expertise in maintenance, logistics, or PMEL environments is preferred.
SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager certification is preferred.
Scrum Product Owner certification is preferred.

Description

Serves as the operational and functional owner of the product backlog for assigned BMx systems or capability areas. The Product Owner works directly with Government stakeholders, Functional SMEs, Help Desk personnel, Scrum Masters, System Architects, and DevSecOps leadership to ensure backlog priorities align with operational mission requirements, maintenance workflows, PMEL operations, modernization objectives, cybersecurity requirements, and cloud migration activities.
