Requirements
  • A valid driver’s license and acceptable background check per company standards.
  • Demonstrated exceptional focus on delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced work environment and have the ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
  • Must be able to use handheld telecommunication devices and understand commercial software packages such as Word and Excel. You will also use Roto-Rooter computer systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Plumbing experience is not necessary or required.
  • Organized self-starter with an outgoing personality.
  • Strong preference for candidates with outside sales experience in in-home services; however, all outside sales backgrounds will be evaluated.
Responsibilities
  • Identify and sell sewer line repair and replacement solutions for residential and commercial properties.
  • The Sales Representative will conduct camera assessments of sewer lines to determine if there is root interruption or breakage in the sewer line resulting in the need for repair or replacement.
  • Engage in proactive follow-up communication with existing customers to deliver effective solutions for their plumbing or water-related issues.
  • Leverage our established pricing matrix and/or insurance guidelines to provide competitive quotes for repair/replacement options/solutions and effectively close sales.
  • Be a trusted information resource for Roto-Rooter customers.
Desired Qualifications
  • Strong preference for candidates with outside sales experience in in-home services; however, all outside sales backgrounds will be evaluated.

Roto-Rooter provides 24/7 plumbing repair, drain cleaning, sewer service, and water cleanup for residential and commercial customers. It also manufactures its own drain-cleaning equipment and sells it to franchisees. Technicians use patented drain-cleaning machines and cables to clear roots and blockages in sewer lines, perform pipe and fixture repairs, water damage restoration, and other plumbing tasks. The company operates through a mix of company-owned and independently owned franchises, enabling service across more than 600 locations and covering over 90% of the U.S. population and a large portion of Canada, with international franchises in several countries. Its goal is to offer reliable emergency plumbing and comprehensive plumbing and water damage services at scale while growing its network and leveraging its proprietary equipment to support strong customer service.
