Responsibilities
  • Partner with Finance and other key stakeholders to monitor and analyze financial reimbursement trends and healthcare changes in the national and Alaska marketplaces.
  • Analyze the market as it relates to provider incentive programs.
  • Evaluate the impact to Foundation Health and collaborate with stakeholders to determine approaches related to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Quality Payment Program and other payors' value-based programs.
  • Serve as Foundation Health Partners' subject matter expert on Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Quality Payment Program programs for hospitals and providers.
  • Stay current with related regulatory changes and understand their impact on operations, finance, electronic medical record configurations, and applications.
  • Advise leadership and stakeholders on changing regulations and major organizational process impacts.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish workflows and processes that strengthen reimbursement or decrease penalties with operational, clinical, and financial leadership.
  • Ensure accountability for success, optimize incentives, and minimize penalties.
  • Facilitate consensus for workflow standardization as necessary.
  • Partner with education and communication business owners to communicate decisions, workflows, and processes and provide ongoing education for employees, providers, and leadership.
  • Facilitate eligible hospital and eligible provider performance on metrics tied to incentive programs.
  • Create and manage performance dashboards.
  • Create and implement action plans to meet targets as needed.
  • Partner with Clinical Informatics, clinical leaders, and physicians to optimize workflows for program measures.
  • Develop project plans and charters and organize cross-functional teams.
  • Assist Finance and Quality Departments with submitting results to appropriate governmental agencies.
  • Identify regulatory changes requiring electronic medical record or other software changes and advise Information Technology and Finance in advance with budget timing in mind.
  • Partner with Information Technology on software system setup and data migrations.
  • Generate reports and communicate with Information Technology regarding data reporting needs.
