Responsibilities

Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams.
Administer oral solutions according to established training.
Research test and client information and confirm and verify written and electronic orders using laboratory technology systems, client contact, and approved tools.
Obtain identification, accurately enter billing information, and collect payments when required, following corporate policies.
Process specimens, including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing them for transport as required by the test order.
Perform non-patient-facing duties, including inventory, stocking supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and using email as appropriate.
Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
Assist with compiling and submitting statistics and data when required.
Maintain appropriate phlebotomy logs, including maintenance and temperature logs, in a timely manner and at the required frequency.
Complete online and in-person training courses in a timely manner.

Desired Qualifications

Medical assistant or paramedic training is preferred.
Phlebotomy certification is preferred; it is required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
One year of phlebotomy experience is preferred.
Customer service experience in a retail or service environment is preferred.

Phlebotomist I - Lakewood Ranch, FL, On-Call

Pay range: $20.00+ per hour

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Required Education

High school diploma or equivalent.
Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Work Experience

One year phlebotomy experience preferred.

Keyboard/data entry experience.
