Requirements
  • Knowledge and experience delivering interventions for service users affected by Chemsex/Chems-related substance use.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication and information technology skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
  • Strong understanding of mental health interventions, services, and best practices.
  • Ability to collaborate with professionals, agencies, and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to navigate change while prioritizing service users’ needs.
  • Understanding of information governance processes and commitment to following required safeguards.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and developing professional knowledge and skills.
Responsibilities
  • Support service users from their initial contact throughout their treatment and recovery journey.
  • Deliver tailored interventions to reduce harm caused by substance use through group sessions or one-to-one engagement.
  • Ensure service users receive a comprehensive, recovery-focused detoxification plan, including preparation before detoxification and post-care support.
  • Collaborate with other organizations and community groups to expand recovery resources, including referrals to mutual aid groups and other networks.
  • Advocate for the involvement of family members, service users, and the community.
  • Represent service users in accessing partnership services.
  • Work with service users to facilitate their social reintegration and support recovery, resilience, peer support, and self-determination.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of colleagues.
