- A High School diploma or GED and three years of experience working in Human Services are required.

- Report to each shift on time and spend at least 95 percent of working hours in personal contact with individuals.
- Assist individuals with implementing all goals and objectives.
- Implement behavior plans and treatment plans developed by program leadership and clinicians.
- Track and report data related to behavior and treatment plans according to agency expectations.
- Participate in planning and implementing the daily activity schedule and routine.
- Support individuals in their homes and help them become active members of their communities by seeking integrated activities.
- Assist individuals with self-advocacy, decision-making, and empowerment.
- Provide ongoing support, guidance, and role modeling for individuals.
- Assist individuals with home maintenance and perform assigned cleaning duties.
- Assist individuals in identifying and developing person-centered goals and plans addressing their concerns, wants, or needs.
- Prepare end-of-shift summaries of interactions and objective behavioral observations; complete clinical notes and data collection using Microsoft Outlook.
- Lift and transfer individuals as needed.
- Provide transportation as needed.
- Maintain mandatory core certifications, including First Aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, Safety Care, MAP, and HR/DPPC certifications.
- Implement Safety Care principles appropriately and complete other program-specific safety training.
- Encourage and provide opportunities for community participation and membership.
- Schedule, attend, and document appointments as assigned.
- Safeguard individuals' monetary funds.
- Report significant health, behavioral, or psychiatric issues to the appropriate supervisor promptly and document issues and incidents according to agency and division guidelines.
- Perform physical intervention during a client crisis.
- Attend and actively participate in supervision, staff meetings, and trainings.
- Ensure individuals are treated with dignity and respect in accordance with the agency's Human Rights Policy and Advocates Way.
- Perform all duties in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
- Experience with utilizing or implementing applied behavioral therapy is preferred.
- A demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations is strongly preferred.

Advocates celebrates $75,000 grant from The MolinaCares Accord to expand the Friendship Project. * Jun 2, 2026 Updated 5 hrs ago Molina Healthcare ("Molina"), in collaboration with The MolinaCares Accord ("MolinaCares"), awarded a $75,000 grant to Advocates,a human services nonprofit, to support the expansion of its Friendship Project. The program combats loneliness and social isolation among adults living with mental health challenges and disabilities. Research shows that individuals with serious mental illness experience loneliness at a rate 2.3 times greater than the general population, contributing to poorer health outcomes and increased emergency healthcare utilization. The Friendship Project connects adults with trained volunteers who provide companionship, emotional support, and practical assistance through regular visits, phone calls, outings, and other connections. Funding will support efforts to increase volunteer recruitment and community partnerships, as well as program coordination. "Loneliness and social isolation can have a profound impact on both mental and physical health," said Jeff Keilson, senior vice president of innovation and partnerships of Advocates. "We are deeply grateful to Molina and MolinaCares for investing in programs that create meaningful human connection and improve quality of life for people in our communities." Studies show perceived emotional support reduces the risk of common mental health disorders and severe mental health crises. The Friendship Project also provides a physical and mental respite for 24/7 caregivers who often experience stress from the demands of around-the-clock care.
