About the job

Requirements
  • At least 7 years of experience in a cloud-based DevOps environment, with current AWS expertise and emphasis on release engineering, deployment automation, and infrastructure as code.
  • At least 4 years of production Terraform experience, including module authoring, remote state management, workspaces, provider version management, and safe plan/apply workflows integrated into CI/CD.
  • Production experience with Azure and/or GCP in addition to AWS; experience operating on two or more clouds is preferred.
  • Experience with Kubernetes or ECS container orchestration and deployment tooling such as Helm and Kustomize, including provisioning clusters and node groups through Terraform.
  • Experience using Terraform in a multi-team environment, including state design, module registries, versioning policy, and access control.
  • Experience designing and operating continuous delivery pipelines, including progressive rollout strategies and automated rollback.
  • Familiarity with Terraform ecosystem tools such as Terragrunt, Terraform Cloud/Enterprise, Atlantis, Sentinel/OPA, or Checkov.
  • Experience helping other teams adopt infrastructure as code through documentation, golden-path templates, and migrations.
  • Cloud operations skills focused on scalability, reliability, and maintainability of cloud-native applications and Terraform-managed infrastructure.
  • Comfort using agile tools such as Jira and Confluence, and version control such as Git and BitBucket, for application code and infrastructure as code.
  • At least 5 years of experience working with Unix-like operating systems, including Linux, macOS, BSD variants, or IBM AIX.
  • At least 4 years of scripting experience in Shell, Go, Python, Perl, or Tcl/Tk for deployment tooling, automation, and Terraform wrappers.
  • At least 4 years of production monitoring, alerting, and deployment observability, including change and configuration management and detecting drift against Terraform-managed state.
Responsibilities
  • Build and improve the CI/CD framework, with particular depth on continuous delivery, including artifact and environment promotion, deployment gating, automated rollback, and Terraform runs, plan reviews, and policy checks in the pipeline.
  • Implement progressive delivery patterns such as blue/green, canary, and rolling deployments, with automated health checks, gating, and rollback defined as code.
  • Build release orchestration tooling across services and regions, including scheduling, change tracking, and feature-flag-driven rollout.
  • Design reusable, well-versioned Terraform modules and manage remote state, workspaces, and environment strategy so teams can self-serve infrastructure changes through code review.
  • Build secure, compliant infrastructure in AWS and develop provider-agnostic module patterns and standards that extend to Azure and GCP, using Kubernetes as the common runtime.
  • Integrate policy-as-code, security and compliance scanning, and cost checks such as Sentinel, OPA, Checkov, and Infracost into the Terraform pipeline.
  • Partner with engineering teams to migrate existing infrastructure to Terraform, and create documentation and golden-path templates for other teams to author and own their infrastructure as code.
  • Monitor deployment pipelines, release health, and Terraform plan/apply activity; provide technical escalation for production support during and after business hours, including incident response, rollback, and remediation.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience operating infrastructure on two or more clouds.
  • Familiarity with provider-agnostic Terraform module patterns.
  • CircleCI experience.
  • Experience owning the continuous delivery and release engineering work, including infrastructure provisioning.
