Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Perform data analysis using statistical analysis, explanatory and predictive modeling, and data mining techniques.
  • Support business analytics projects and processes that provide data-driven insights into business performance and inform strategies for operational improvements and future business initiatives.
  • Use statistical methods, modeling, analytical methodologies, and data analysis to develop and deploy dashboards, infographics, reports, and models that support decision-making.
  • Mine, process, and analyze internal and external data using key performance indicators, business results, industry sources, competitor intelligence, and customer information.
  • Interact and collaborate with users and stakeholders to understand the business model, objectives, issues, and challenges.
  • Assess and document business requirements, make priority recommendations, and advise on business options, risks, and costs.
  • Produce reports and visualizations that provide understandable information for decision-making.
  • Research, analyze, and recommend changes to business processes to improve operational efficiency, quality, service, and profitability.
  • Collect and study operational and performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop process documentation and project plans, and create flowcharts, process maps, and diagrams.
  • Support cross-functional activities and working sessions during project design and implementation phases.
  • Design and prepare documentation, training materials, and communications supporting new processes.
  • Facilitate or assist with training delivery to impacted business units.
  • Support the financial, operational, and strategic functions of the Department of Neurosurgery.
  • Manage and visualize clinical and financial data, including patient visit-level, billing, and utilization data.
  • Develop dashboards and sub-specialty reporting for surgical volume analytics, budgetary planning, and early assessment of where action plans may be needed.
  • Manage performance for institutional key performance indicators, including provider productivity, quality measures, revenue indicators, and documentation compliance, and partner with providers as needed to meet annual goals.
  • Learn new systems and functionalities, including ad hoc report building and management of work queues within the electronic health record and business intelligence systems.
  • Perform administrative duties including expense reimbursement preparation, on-call schedule preparation, and meeting preparation.
  • Assess and distribute key data points including patient experience data and compliance with national quality programs.
  • Distribute provider reports for encounter completion and in-basket message closure compliance.
  • Assist with department purchase orders, invoices, and check deposit forms.
  • Adhere to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguard University assets.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
