Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in wind turbine field service.
- Strong leadership, communication, and technical skills.
- A strong understanding of wind turbine systems and safety protocols.
- Ability to climb and work at heights, in confined spaces, and in outdoor environments.
- Ability to work on call for site coverage and participate in a 24/7/365 on-call rotation.
- A valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Willingness to travel from time to time for training or to assist on other projects.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Must pass a background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug test.
- Must adhere to site safety practices and work in variable outdoor environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead troubleshooting, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and operations at a U.S. wind site.
- Lead and/or assist with large and small corrective campaigns.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise junior and mid-level technicians and ensure quality, health and safety, and technical standards across project tasks.
- Assist project management with leadership tasks when necessary.
- Diagnose and resolve complex turbine and equipment issues.
- Ensure work complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate with technicians and site leadership to maintain project goals, schedules, and tracking.
- Communicate issues and solutions to leadership.
- Participate in company and project health, safety, and environmental meetings, briefings, and documentation requirements.
- Accurately document service activity, parts and materials consumption, task explanations, and task start and stop times using digital reporting systems.
- Support and enforce company policies.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, peers, and company and project managers.
- Coordinate with inventory control to ensure projects have the required parts and consumables.
- Respond to site coverage needs during the on-call rotation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Perform regular work at heights and in confined spaces, with the physical stamina required for outdoor environments.
Desired Qualifications
- Vestas platform experience is preferred.
- V100 and V110 certifications are preferred.
