Kargo offers a subscription-based platform that uses computer vision to capture real-time freight data at loading docks, turning opaque logistics into transparent, data-rich processes. It integrates with existing inventory systems and continuously analyzes dock activity to provide end-to-end supply chain visibility, analytics, and automated inspections. This helps businesses identify labor needs, spot trends, and resolve freight claims by automatically inspecting for damage and verifying shipments against Bills of Lading. By delivering dock-level, real-time data and enabling network effects across clients through a scalable platform, Kargo aims to close information gaps and improve efficiency and reliability across industries like automotive and food.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Kargo automated 64,000 receipts at Lineage's Decatur facility by August 26, 2026.
  • Kargo raised $18.4 million in June 2025, backing expansion into 45-plus enterprise customers.
  • Kargo Intelligence extends into invoicing and claims, opening higher-margin software revenue.

What critics are saying

  • Symbotic, Dematic, and Manhattan Associates attack the same warehouse automation budget in 2026.
  • Kargo's hardware deployments create integration and maintenance friction across thousands of dock doors.
  • If Lineage or Armada churns after 2026 pilots, Kargo's growth story cracks fast.

What makes Kargo unique

  • Kargo turns dock doors into real-time freight data pipelines using computer vision.
  • Kargo's platform verifies inbound and outbound freight, reducing manual receiving from minutes to seconds.
  • Lineage and Armada deployments prove Kargo sells into enterprise warehouses, not pilot projects.

Kargo automates 64,000 warehouse receipts in 6 months at Lineage's Alabama poultry facility

Kargo, an AI-powered vision system provider, has implemented automated receiving operations at Lineage's warehouse in Decatur, Alabama. The facility, which supports adjacent poultry plants, now uses Kargo's camera towers to automatically capture inbound inventory data and feed it into Lineage's warehouse management system. The system has automated more than 64,000 receipts over six months. The Decatur operation processes over 500 pallets daily, with automation reducing receiving time from minutes to seconds. This allows Lineage to reallocate labour to higher-value activities. The implementation is part of Lineage's broader initiative to deploy advanced automation and computer vision technologies in cold chain operations. Automated load scanning is scheduled to launch at the facility shortly.
