Field Service Engineer
About the job
- Good communication skills and strong customer service skills are required.
- The candidate must be highly motivated and capable of completing assigned tasks with minimum supervision.
- A minimum Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another technical discipline is required.
- The ability to work with electronic schematics, test equipment, and repair tools is required.
- A valid driver's license and passport must be maintained.
- Provide technical support to customers on-site, by telephone, and by email.
- Perform on-site troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
- Evaluate malfunctioning instruments and prepare repair cost estimates.
- Perform factory calibrations to ISO 17025 when required.
- Provide on-site training to customers.
- Complete administrative tasks in the CRM Service module, logging all support tickets and service orders.
- Forward sales opportunities to Sales Representatives when instruments need replacement.
- Attend all necessary Anton Paar service trainings for the relevant product lines.
- Travel up to 70% of the time.
- Direct experience in the analytical instruments field is a plus.
- At least two to three years of experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining analytical instruments is preferred.
