About the job
- Ability to prioritize and resolve information technology problems quickly and efficiently.
- Ability to install, support, and maintain personal computers and peripheral devices.
- Knowledge of Windows, Linux, and Mac operating systems.
- Proficiency with security practices such as encryption and multi-factor authentication.
- Strong customer service and empathy skills.
- Handle service desk calls, triage client issues or questions, categorize tickets, and resolve or escalate them as required.
- Participate in on-site visits or service calls to client sites to explore the field.
- Assist with project implementation and rollouts, including new information technology infrastructure builds, process improvement or implementation, and security and surveillance projects.
- Occasionally assist with information technology budgeting for ManagePoint or its clients.
- Understanding of routing protocols.
- Knowledge of firewall best practices and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Linux operating systems such as Ubuntu, Red Hat, and CentOS.
- Capability with CCNA or CCNP certification-level material.
- Knowledge of voice over Internet Protocol technology and use cases.
- Knowledge of database creation, management, and scripting.
- Knowledge of project management fundamentals.
- Background in event management.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
- Strong understanding of Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Familiarity with additional server roles such as DNS, DHCP, file and print server, and RADIUS/NPS.
- Strong understanding of VMware.
- Understanding of wired and wireless networks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
- G driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
