Assistant Professor of Clinical - Diagnostic Radiology, Pediatrics

The Division of Pediatric Radiology in the in the Department of Radiology at the Leonard Miller School of Medicine, University of Miami (UM), is seeking fellowship-trained, CAQ certified or eligible candidates for a full-time faculty position at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor on the Clinical Educator track, given planned expansions of services across the region.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS

• Interpretgeneral radiology, neuro, abdominal,MSKand chest Imaging (CTs,MRIs, Ultrasound,X-rays, fluoroscopy).

• Takeeveningandweekend callsatUHealthand JHSlocations as required. 

• Supervise performance of technical personnel.

• Exercise quality assurance as related to the practice of diagnostic radiology. 

• Provide diagnostic imaging consultations as requested. 

• Providepediatricpatient care related to imaging as required in the setting of a radiology practice. 

• Assume administrative responsibilities related to the practice of diagnostic imaging. 

• Participation in the advancement and education ofdiagnostic radiologymedical students, residents, and fellows.  

• Serve on Departmental and University committees as requested by the Chair. 

• Accept assignments as determined by the department Chair.

COREQUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• Medical Degree 

• Diagnostic Radiology Residency 

• Pediatric RadiologyFellowship 

Certification and Licensing:

• American Board of Radiology Certified or Board Eligible 

• Florida Medical License or Eligible 

• CAQ in Pediatric Radiology or CAQ Eligible

Experience:

• Competitive applicants willhave completed at least 1 year of dedicated subspecialty fellowship training inPediatricRadiology. 

• Prior experience in a university faculty setting preferred but not required. 

Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:

• Interpret general radiology, neuro, abdominal, MSK and chest Imaging (CTs, MRIs, Ultrasound,X-rays, fluoroscopy).

• In addition to the rich clinical experience, faculty will participate in teaching residents, fellows, and medical students.
