A Certified Nursing Assistant certificate or enrollment in a Temporary Nursing Assistant Program is required.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English is required.

Responsibilities
Provide assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services according to each resident’s assessment and care plan and supervisors’ direction.
Report changes in residents’ conditions to the Nurse Supervisor or Charge Nurse as soon as practical.
Assist residents with dental and mouth care, including brushing teeth or dentures, oral hygiene, and special mouth care.
Assist residents with baths, including bed baths, tub baths, and showers, as directed.
Assist residents with dressing and undressing as necessary.
Provide hair care, including combing, brushing, and shampooing.
Provide nail care, including clipping, trimming, and cleaning fingernails and toenails, excluding diabetic residents.
Keep residents clean-shaven as instructed, including facial hair, underarms, and legs.
Keep residents dry and provide incontinence care, including changing gowns, clothing, and linens when wet or soiled.
Change bed linens and keep linens tight to prevent wrinkles under residents.
Make occupied and unoccupied beds.
Add extra bed covers as requested.
Position bedfast residents correctly and comfortably.
Assist residents with bowel and bladder functions, including bathroom trips and use of bedpans, urinals, and portable commodes.
Check and report bowel movements and stool characteristics as instructed.
Assist residents in preparing for activities and social programs, including church services, parties, and visitors.
Assist with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting residents into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, and lifts.
Assist residents with walking, with or without self-help devices, as instructed.
Perform restorative and rehabilitative procedures as instructed.
Description
The primary purpose of your job position is to provide each of your assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by your supervisors.
Report all changes in the resident’s condition to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse as soon as practical.
Assist residents with daily dental and mouth care (i.e., brushing teeth/dentures, oral hygiene, special mouth care, etc.).
Assist residents with bath functions (i.e., bedbath, tub or shower bath, etc.) as directed.
Assist residents with dressing/undressing as necessary.
Assist residents with hair care functions (i.e., combing, brushing, shampooing, etc.).
Assist residents with nail care (i.e., clipping, trimming, and cleaning the finger/toenails). (Note: Does not include diabetic residents.)
Keep hair residents clean shaven (i.e., facial hair, under arms, on legs, etc.) as instructed.
Keep residents dry and perform incontinent care (i.e., change gown, clothing, linen, etc., when it becomes wet or soiled).
Change bed linens. Keep linens tight to avoid wrinkles from forming under the resident.
Make beds (occupied and unoccupied).
Put extra covers on beds as requested.
Position bedfast residents in correct and comfortable position.
