  • Passion for the mission and vision of ETSS.
  • Non-profit experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; required.
  • 5 years of project management or government contractor environment experience.
  • Must have GAAP knowledge.
  • Thorough understanding of GAAP, a clear knowledge of Federal Guidance, as laid out in 2-CFR Subtitle A Chapter II, multiple OMB circulars.
  • Grants and Contracts experience.
  • Critical thinking and decision making when assessing and providing information with an understanding of the flow of financial and budgeting activities.
  • Meticulous in completing financial calculations and Excel spreadsheets.
  • The ability to prioritize all job duties to ensure accurate and timely information.
  • Working knowledge of an organization’s applicable financial practices and procedures, as well as a thorough understanding of state and federal rules and regulations; required.
  • Proficient with accounting software and standard office and accounting equipment.
  • Staff supervision and management experience is required.
  • Be detailed and task-oriented.
Responsibilities
  • Overseeing all budget and finance activities including accounting, AR, AP, Payroll, and general accounting.
  • Managing the organization’s budget process and supervising accounting and fiscal management staff.
  • Communicating the organization’s financial position to the President & CEO, Finance Committee, and Board.
  • Being the contact point for all outside audits and developing remediation plans if needed.
  • Oversight of all financial activity and planning.
  • Managing and overseeing fiscal and accounting functions.
  • Supervising and managing all accounting and fiscal management staff.
  • Assuring accurate and timely work with adequate documentation of financial processes.
  • Reviewing grant award documents and contractual instruments.
  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring fiscal policies and procedures.
  • Collaborating with the Director of HR to ensure fully funded staffing.
  • Negotiating lines of credit and ensuring adequate working capital.
  • Identifying and analyzing problems/situations in a timely manner.
  • Effectively communicating critical financial matters to the board of directors.
  • Updating and implementing necessary business policies and accounting practices.
