Requirements
  • Current, active, and unencumbered Registered Nurse license in California.
  • A bachelor's degree from a BVNPT-approved school.
  • A minimum of three years as a Registered Nurse.
  • At least one year of teaching or clinical supervision in a state-approved vocational nursing or registered nursing program within the last five years, or three years in nursing administration or education within the last five years.
  • Coursework in administration, teaching, and curriculum development from an approved school.
  • Strong organizational and operational management skills.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Official transcripts are required prior to hire; degrees earned outside the United States must be evaluated by a recognized credential evaluation service for U.S. degree equivalency and applicable subject-area coursework.
  • The ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and be physically present in the office.
  • The ability to perform program- or department-related physical duties, use electronic keyboards and office equipment, communicate verbally by phone and in person, read fine print, operate computers, understand voices clearly, and lift, carry, or move objects weighing 10–25 pounds as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of the vocational nursing program, with emphasis on evening and weekend cohorts.
  • Assist in managing faculty schedules, course planning, and instructional resource allocation.
  • Ensure timely completion of grading, evaluations, and required reporting.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and evaluate instructional faculty.
  • Provide coaching and performance feedback to ensure instructional excellence.
  • Promote active learning strategies and effective use of ATI resources.
  • Monitor student performance and implement intervention strategies to support retention and completion.
  • Ensure consistency in instructional quality across cohorts.
  • Provide feedback during weekend clinicals on student progress and the learning environment.
  • Ensure compliance with BVNPT regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Coordinate clinical placements and maintain strong relationships with clinical partners.
  • Manage program data collection, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Maintain clear communication with clinical sites to ensure all student requirements are met.
  • Perform duties in office, classroom, laboratory, or clinical settings, including skills labs or bedside environments as required by the program.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree in nursing, education, or administration.
  • Experience working with evening, weekend, or non-traditional student populations.
  • Experience managing faculty schedules across multiple cohorts or shifts.
  • Experience with ATI or similar nursing education platforms.
