Requirements
  • 6-10+ years of experience in financial services, with meaningful exposure to equity market structure, trading venue operations, fintech, or digital asset platforms.
  • Familiarity with the United States regulatory landscape for capital markets and trading venues, including the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority; exposure to emerging digital asset regulatory frameworks is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive product or business initiatives from concept through launch in a complex, regulated environment.
  • Experience in commercial roles such as business development, partnerships, or revenue ownership, ideally within market infrastructure, fintech, or digital asset firms.
  • Solid understanding of blockchain and distributed ledger technology concepts, tokenized asset mechanics, and on-chain settlement infrastructure.
  • Ability to present to senior leadership, regulators, institutional clients, and external partners.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in a fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities
  • Own and evolve the product roadmap for the New York Stock Exchange digital asset trading platform, translating regulatory requirements, market developments, and client inputs into prioritized platform initiatives.
  • Partner with technology, legal, compliance, and operations teams to define platform requirements and drive execution against key regulatory and commercial milestones.
  • Monitor competitive and regulatory developments in digital asset market structure, including the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, and the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation, and assess implications for platform strategy and positioning.
  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with broker-dealers, custodians, liquidity providers, issuers, tokenization platforms, and technology vendors relevant to the digital asset trading ecosystem.
  • Drive participant onboarding strategy, including outreach to prospective broker-dealer participants, market makers, and issuer relationships.
  • Represent the New York Stock Exchange externally at industry forums, with institutional clients, and with prospective platform participants on digital asset market structure topics.
  • Build business cases for new product initiatives, including financial modeling, go-to-market planning, and investment prioritization.
  • Track and report on platform key performance indicators, commercial pipeline, and revenue performance for senior leadership.
  • Lead day-to-day coordination across legal, compliance, technology, operations, and sales teams to advance platform development and commercial milestones.
  • Serve as an internal subject matter expert on digital asset market structure, tokenized securities, and the regulatory framework governing trading venues.
  • Prepare materials for senior leadership, regulatory stakeholders, and external audiences on platform strategy and progress.

ICE backs Isometric's $50M Series A for AI-powered carbon certification platform

Isometric has closed its Series A funding round at $50 million with backing from Intercontinental Exchange, operator of the New York Stock Exchange. The investment brings Isometric's total capital raised to $75 million across seed and Series A rounds. The certification platform has been contracted to certify more than 16 million tonnes of carbon removal, making it the largest certifier globally by contracted volume. Isometric has since expanded beyond carbon removal into industrial emissions, energy, fuels and materials, with more than 200 projects now using its platform. Isometric's AI-powered Certify platform works with independent verifiers to examine data supporting sustainability claims, reducing certification timelines from months to hours. Customers include Microsoft, Anglo American, Boeing and JPMorgan Chase.

ICE hits record 16.8M interest rate futures open interest in August, ADV up 14% YoY

Intercontinental Exchange reported strong August operating metrics, with double-digit year-over-year growth in average daily volume and open interest across major asset classes. NYSE parent ICE invests in tZERO, licenses 103 blockchain patents for tokenised securities platform

Intercontinental Exchange, parent of the New York Stock Exchange, has signed agreements with tZERO to build infrastructure for a tokenised securities platform. tZERO will serve as design partner for digital transfer-agent and broker-dealer systems supporting on-chain settlement. ICE will invest in tZERO's latest funding round and license its blockchain patent portfolio, which spans 23 patent families and 103 patents covering token lifecycles, compliance-aware transfer logic, and smart contract frameworks. tZERO is expected to seek approval as a digital transfer agent on ICE's NYSE-affiliated Digital Trading Platform. The companies will also evaluate using tZERO's tokenised assets for collateral management across ICE's clearing houses. The partnership marks tZERO's deepest tie to a major exchange operator. No timeline for regulatory approval or platform launch was disclosed.
