- The technologist must be proficient in performing all nuclear medicine procedures.
- The technologist must have demonstrated interpersonal and computer skills.

- Under the direction of an authorized radiologist, perform all types of nuclear medicine imaging procedures and therapy on patients as requested by physicians.
- Communicate unsafe conditions, equipment malfunctions, and other departmental needs to the supervisor or the supervisor's designee.
- Obtain guidance from a radiologist on unclear procedure orders before proceeding with an examination.
- Document and record receipts, returns, and disposals of radioactive materials and radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with Nuclear Regulatory Commission and Department of Transportation requirements.
- Order radiopharmaceuticals as needed.
- Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures using a gamma camera and department and radiologist-established protocols.
- Verify the patient's name and date of birth, and explain the procedure in detail before beginning the examination.
- Perform daily surveys; collect flood data and bar-phantom data; and complete dose and dose-calibrator checks at the required times specified in documents and procedure manuals.
- Prepare assays at the prescribed dose and administration route, and perform radiopharmaceutical quality control on patients in accordance with Nuclear Regulatory Commission and Indiana State Board of Health regulations.
- Complete necessary paperwork after the examination and forward it to the radiologist for review.
- A Bachelor's degree in Allied Health with a Nuclear Medicine focus is preferred.
- A Healthcare/Medical qualification in Radiology, including imaging and therapy, is preferred.

Methodist Hospitals foundation appoints new executive director. Methodist Hospitals is pleased to announce the appointment of James R. (Jamie) Mack as Vice President, Chief Financial Officer. Mack brings nearly three decades of leadership in healthcare finance as well as a deep understanding of Methodist Hospitals and the community it serves. Mack joins Methodist from St. Anthony Hospital in Chicago, where he had served as Vice President of Finance since 2016. His extensive financial experience includes senior leadership positions at Sinai Health Systems in Chicago, Pinnacle Hospital in Crown Point and other health care organizations in Illinois and Northwest Indiana. He is an expert in accounting, reimbursement, charge structure, pricing models and pricing strategies in both for-profit and non-profit organizations as well as strategic and reputation development. He is a returning member of Methodist family, having served as Methodist Controller from 1987 to 2006. A native of Northwest Indiana, Jamie also has a deep understanding of The Region and of the communities that Methodist Hospitals serves.
